It turned out be the movie night last night.
My friend Anita has a bunch of VCDs. They are mostly Japanese TV dramas and, apparently, illegally copied. No, she doesn’t do anything against law. It’s not her but she bought them from stores in Chinese shopping malls. Those VCDs are very common among Chinese people here, it seems like. Anyway, she sometimes lends me a couple of those. Two weeks ago, I borrowed “Itsumo-Futari-De” starring Kenji Sakaguchi and Takako Matsu, and “Good Luck!” starring Takuya Kimura.
The day before yesterday, I got a one-in-a-blue-moon opportunity and enjoyed “Good Luck!” with Yoshi.
He doesn’t watch those dramas because he is always busy with assignments and group works. It is impossible to have that pastime. But his winter break is coming soon, most of his assignments turned in, so he now have some spare time. Good for him!
As for me, I am happy in any case Yoshi is with me doing anything. Watching dramas is not exceptional, of course.
We started to watch the drama after dinner two nights ago, and then finished three quarters of all the episodes by lunch yesterday. Yoshi had an appointment with his personal trainer Hadi at the gym at noon so we stopped watching.
After his training, we went out for lunch. It was the buffet style restaurant located next to Japan Town, the small Japanese shopping mall. At the mall, you can rent some videotapes that some Japanese TV shows are taped. We rented two of the latest version of “Ai-Nori.”
We took some rest in the afternoon and then started watching the last quarter of “Good Luck!” after dinner. We finally gave up by the time finishing one “Ai-Nori.” It was almost 11 p.m.
Phew, what a lazy day we spent. Two couch potatoes here.
