Yoshi was not so satisfied with the sirloin steak I served for tonight's dinner. I guess it was a kind of my mistake to let him know that it costed only 500 yen for two servings.
In fact he sarcasticly said that the meat must have been chemically seasoned and imported from China. No! It was Aussie Beaf, at least so stated on the label! Heh, heh!
The word, sirloin steak always reminds me of Okinawa. So does it for Yoshi. We ate the best sirloin steak ever eaten in our life there!
It was just before we got married, we went on a trip to Okinawa. Yoshi got ANA coupon tickets exchanged with his air mileage. The coupon was so useful that can be used at affiliated stores and hotels. There are many in Naha, the capital of Okinawa pref.
We stayed at ロワジールホテル 那覇, one of the affiliated hotels. The best sirloin steak was something they offered as all-you-can-eat! Can you believe it, you can eat it as much as you want!!! It was not just any meat but the best marbling meat! Unbelievably tender and juicy!
I can still picture it so clearly. It was nice'n pleasant dusk, we were at a pool side table. A chef in white chef coat approached to us pushing a moving grill. He cooked the best meat just in front of us!! It was fantastic when he yielded a long steak knife and cut the meat skillfully. The taste was .. undescribable!
We were so regretting that we had buffet for breakfast and lunch.
..Yes, on that day, in order to consume all the coupon tickets, we had all-you-can-eat buffet three consecutive meals!! .. I had never been that over-stuffed before and throughout now, and even will never be, I think!
I wonder the hotel is still offering the sirloin steak buffet... It was over 5 years ago..
