new stream of Tai-Chi

Phew... Time flies. It has already been a month since I started the new job!
I think --- I want to believe --- I have learnt a lot. As much as I could, I guess. Now it is time to put all the knowledge into practice.

I got a heavy headache the day before yesterday. I get migraine when I ovulate and before my period but it was not that. I already had a couple of days before. Hmmm..., that's weird. ... Did I happen to get some stress from the job??? I don't know. I cannot tell that it's fun to work there but I have been quite fulfilled.
I may have been too excited, haven't I?

So, I was kind of waiting for the second long weekend of this month. I don't mean I hate the job but off-days are always worth waiting.

Ah, I need to tell this. I went to the gym yesterday's evening. It was the first time to go on Thursday. There is Tai-Chi class on Thursday. I have been interested but not had a chance to take part in.
Some of you know that I took Tai-Chi class in Toronto for a year, don't you?
I finally joined the class last night.
... Hmmm ... something is different... no, totally different. What I learnt was from a stream of the Youngs. There are thousands of streams in Tai-Chi Chuang (太極拳) and mine is quite traditional which has 108 forms. It seemed like the Tai-Chi they teach is a short version from a new stream, which starts from a form called "fair maiden works at shuttle" (not sure the meaning though.. I assume that a woman works with asian weaving machine or something?) The moves of the trainer is quite relaxed but looked a bit inefficient to me if he put it in a real battle. You know, Tai-Chi is a martial art, a way of self-defense. My Hong-Kongese trainer in Toronto, Paul, always explains how each form works in a battle. To move efficiently, you need to imagine silk threads attached to your each ten fingertip drawing curving lines.
.. Anyway! It is good to learn another Tai-Chi but I just didn't like it. I haven't been doing Tai-Chi for a long time, maybe over 6 months. I can tell I am getting worse.. I have to start practice!!!
I once remembered all the 108 moves but it has been gone little by little. NOooooooo...

Hi, so was your headache migraine after all? Or just only headache? If it's a migraine, I think the cause was mental stress from your new job (Of course there're various causes to get migraine though). You must be tired without noticing yourself both mentally & phisycally to do new things in the new office & new co-workers. Take care of yourself & be relax.

Many thanks for worrying about me

I am not sure if it was really migraine but I think you are right that I am under some stress. I used to get stressed like crazy and I got heavy migraine. Damn, it was like hell. Felt like my head splitting in two!! I thought I was going to die with the stroke or something.. So, comparing to the nasty pain, the headache the days ago was nothing. In fact, it was gone soon after I got back home. Hahah!

And regarding Tai-Chi, yes. You have a point. The Japanese teacher probably puts the priority on maintaining health. I agree with you! However, I just can't stop respecting the principle Paul taught me. that's it.

…必要とあれば、戦うぜ(笑 {アチョー}

I will kick a sicko's ass!! really??
