Last Friday, after Yoshi's work, we headed to Karuizawa. No need to introduce to you, the place is one of the most famous summer resort in Japan. Well, we did not go on a vacation but to see a log house designer. Yes, as I mentioned in this blog before, Yoshi and I are planning to have a log house!

The designer, Ueda-san is from Rantasalmi, a log house company. He is quite famous in log house industory, I think. You will recognise his name quite often in a log house magazine Yume-Maru（夢の丸太小屋で暮らす）, the bible for those who loves log houses..

At first we wanted a so-called traditional log-house-looking log house. Two stories with huge roof on top. Wide balcony and strip stairs..
One plan in a plan book caught our eyes the other day, however. It was an one story plan named Leuto.

Ueda-san showed us the life house this time. Unfortunately it was raining heavily, I was impressed by Japanese maples beautifully tinted in red on the way. In the second-house district there calmly stood Leuto in woods. What tranquility.. We heard nothing but rain falling quietly. We loved the looking. Going inside, nice'n woody smell welcomed us. Yoshi really liked the hight from floor to ceiling.

Now this one story house is our first possible option!
