It was beautiful day today.
The sun was already shining when I woke up. Right next to me was Nuk-Nuk, who had just sat up rubbing her right eyelid. She slept over.
The morning was very different from my ordinary days. The living room was light with the morning sunshine beaming in.
Normally it is Yoshi who eats breakfast with me. He would go upstairs right after finish eating. I am always the only one who sits in the light living room.
I had Nuk-Nuk with me this morning. It is OK to be on my own but it was more fun to have a company. I felt like sitting there talking about nothing as much as we could. I found it comforting.
Well, why should we waste this beautiful day sitting all day? So we went out.
We went for Chinese Dim Sum for lunch.
Nuk-Nuk is quite a gourmet, by the way, that she hunts nice'n delicious food at reasonable prices. Her choice of restaurants never disappointed me.
She's long been recommending me Din Tai Fong, ( not sure the spelling..) the Shanghai style restaurant. Finally I got a chance to go there.
I was stunned when I gave a first bite to a big dumpling! It was filled with juicy ground pork and Chinese soup. The soup spilled out with my first bite. Oh, my ... The flavor gently flowed in my mouth and then through my throat to stomach. Mmmmm...., YUM!!
After that, We headed for Unionville, the historical district, to the East of Toronto. The place is small but beautiful. There are gift shops and some bars and cafes, all of which used to be historical houses and have been remodeled for commercial use. It is great to walk along the street on a lovely sunny day like today.
Well, it was a little too early today, though. The air was warm enough, but no flowers were decorated yet. Probably in two weeks or so, the street will be full of colourful flowers hung from the street lamps and planted along the sidewalks.
Nuk-Nuk found pretty coasters made of stone. She saw it and .. bam! Fell in love and immediately bought a set of them. I loved them too but ... unfortunately, it was not affordable for me. Maybe I will ask Yoshi a favour and then come back later.
Since the lunch was big, we skipped dinner and caught a movie. Thanks to her, I saw Sin City for free! She got the coupons.
Honestly, I have never gone out all day like today before! I mean, since started life in Toronto. What the ... !! I had a blast!!! I loved the day so much! And I am so grateful for Nuk-Nuk!!
Saying good night to her, I drop her at her place and headed for the airport to pick Yoshi up. He was going to come back from L.A. My fantastic days were over.
I was a little disappointed but felt happy again when I saw Yoshi coming out of the arrival gate!
