Happy Halloween!
Today's diary has nothing to do with halloween though!
This afternoon I got a call from Yoshi, who has been on a business trip in Tokyo. I was glad at first that he called because I already miss him very much. However, the next second, my mood turned nervous because he sounded quite serious. According to him, his office informed him that someone among Yoshi's family member passed away. What the ...! They cannot get that kind of information unless his monther or father would die.. Yoshi had not got a call directly. Neither had I at the moment. Yoshi tried to contact his mother and father in Osaka but he could not reach them. He sounded uneasy and really wanted to know what had happened...!
About an hour later, our home phone rang. It was mother in law. I was relieved the moment I heard her voice. Oh, yes, it was not at least her. It turned out it was Yoshi's aunt who passed away... Still sad though, I was so relieved anyway. My parents in law are all right.
She really should not call Yoshi's office! It really scared us! What she said was like this, "it is important to call the office first, you know. So that it is easier for Yoshi to take mourning leave. They would believe he actually attend the funeral but not just skipping work.." ... I don't think anyone would ever doubt that he skips work..
Anyways, I am sorry for his aunt. May her soul rest in peace.
Part of me still feels relieved though. I am happy mother and father in law stay healthy. Phew..!
