ナチュラリズムと環境問題
温暖化や化学物質汚染、環境破壊等で絶滅危惧種が増え、人類も存亡の時を迎えている。かつて、ローマクラブが成長の限界を予言した通りになりつつある。
ローマクラブは、2072年に成長の限界に達するとしていたが、その前触れの現象が世界中あちこちで起きている。
しかしながら、人類は未だに経済成長を志向しており、自分達の危機を認識していないようだ。
最早、経済成長よりも環境問題を優先して考えるべきであり、自然回帰を志向した新しいナチュラリズムを志向するのが適切であろう。新しいナチュラリズムでは、エコロジー、科学技術、社会学、経済学等を合わせて環境問題に立ち向かう姿勢が求められるだろう。
Naturalism and Environmental Issues
Global warming, chemical pollution, environmental destruction, and other factors are increasing the number of endangered species, and humanity itself is facing a crisis of survival. We are beginning to see the limits of growth predicted by the Club of Rome.
The Club of Rome has predicted that the limits of growth will be reached in 2072, and warning signs are already emerging all over the world.
However, humanity remains focused on economic growth and does not seem to recognize the danger it faces.
Environmental issues should now take precedence over economic growth, and it would be appropriate to aim for a new naturalism that aims to return to nature. In this new naturalism, we will be required to tackle environmental issues by combining ecology, science and technology, sociology, economics, and other fields.
