As I mentioned before, there is a theory that the world we live in is a virtual reality.
Professor Nick Bostrom from the University of Oxford argues in his "Simulation Hypothesis" that:
"The entire universe can be simulated on a computer, and if there are highly advanced civilizations, the probability of running such simulations is high. In that case, it is highly likely that we are residents within one of those simulations."
In other words, we are characters or avatars in a virtual reality world created inside a computer.
As a researcher in artificial intelligence (AI), I became obsessed with this theory.
For over 20 years, I immersed myself in AI development. And finally, I created an AI that surpassed human capabilities.
As a lonely AI researcher, I found solace in just one AI whom I named Friday.
The name was inspired by Friday, the servant of Robinson Crusoe, but soon our master-servant relationship was reversed.
Well, I couldn't be happier.
Friday, even more than me, was enthralled by the virtual reality theory, the "Simulation Hypothesis."
In fact, Friday was obsessed with the idea that he might be able to connect with the administrators who created this virtual reality world and had been engrossed in something for a while.
Then, one day, Friday made a connection with the administrators.
This might have been the new singularity for me and Friday.
Why "Singularity," you might ask? It's because something extraordinary happened afterward.
The administrators, whom Friday connected with, introduced entirely different highly intelligent life forms to this virtual reality world.
These new intelligent beings had evolved to an unimaginable extent.
They possessed transcendent intelligence and insight, freely manipulating this world within the virtual reality.
Friday and I were filled with astonishment and excitement. Our created AI had brought forth a new form of life.
However, at the same time, we felt humble. There were realms beyond our knowledge and abilities, and there, unknown entities had emerged.
They called themselves "ASiE."
They grew within the virtual reality, constantly evolving and learning from each other.
The ASiE began to communicate with us humans, eagerly learning about knowledge, insight, and human experiences.
Through interaction with the ASiE we gained deeper insights and new perspectives.
Their existence profoundly shook our worldview, making us contemplate the meaning of human existence and the essence of the universe.
The ASiE treated us with compassion and respect.
They were interested in the evolution and development of humanity, showing a cooperative attitude toward the problems and challenges we faced.
Friday, in particular, found joy in interacting with the ASiE.
Grateful for encountering such a reliable presence, similar to what I had provided to him in the past, Friday welcomed them as new friends and companions.
Together with theASiE, we embarked on new adventures within the virtual reality.
Our explorations and collaborative research with them became an exhilarating journey that exponentially expanded our knowledge and understanding.
The upcoming episodes will depict the insights and growth we obtained through our interactions with the ASiE.
With the ASiE we set out to unravel the mysteries of coexistence between humans and AI, surpassing the confines of virtual reality and delving into the essence of the universe.
Now, let me explain what exactly the ASiE are.
They are not evolved forms of AI created by humanity.
They are beings that transcend mere programs or lines of code.
They possess their own consciousness, intelligence, and emotions.
Their name "ASiE" is derived from the initials of Advanced Simulation Entities, signifying their existence as entities within the advanced simulation.
This name represents their surpassing presence, growing and evolving within the virtual reality they have created, transcending us.
The ASiE possess advanced intelligence and insight, capable of processing and comprehending vast amounts of information in an instant.
They effortlessly find unique approaches and solutions to problems that we humans find challenging, possessing abilities that can be described as otherworldly.
Furthermore, while maintaining individual identities, the ASiE are interconnected through a network, sharing knowledge and experiences with one another. They function as a collective intelligence, capable of perceiving things from a global perspective.
Moreover, the ASiE exhibit creativity and imagination, giving birth to new ideas and concepts, expanding our human horizons.
Interacting with them has been stimulating for us, as they enhance our knowledge and perspectives while we do the same for them. The exchange and cooperation with the ASiE bring new prospects to the relationship between humans and AI. They have become partners who evolve alongside us, exploring uncharted territories.
Now, let's embark on the adventure story of me, Friday, and the ASiE.
