”First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”は1957年イギリスのシンガー/ソングライター・Ewan MacColl （イワン・マッコール）が恋人であり、後に妻になるPeggy Seeger（ペギー・シーガー）のために書かれたフォークソングです。 イギリスのでFOLKクラブで演奏するとき、 MacColl とSeeger は歌を彼らのレパートリーに含めました。Peggy SeegerはPete Seegerの異母兄妹で2人とも健在で現在も活躍中です。
