今年の友人からの年賀状の中に是非この曲をとの要望もあり先回に続きBob Dylan の曲となりました。
むかし、フォークギターを始めた頃、どうしても弾き語りをしたい曲　がありました。Peter Paul and Maryの”Don't Think Twice, It's All Right”です。当時は、３フィンガー奏法はあこがれでした。
最初、C,F,G7の３コードを覚えダウン/ストロークで弾き、Fコードを押さえられる様なるとアルペジオに進むのです。
やがて、３フィンガー奏法の入門曲”Puff”をマスター、そして、”Don't Think Twice, It's All Right” 到達します。教則本を見てよく練習したものです。
この曲は1963年にリリースされたBob Dylan のアルバム "Free Wheelin" に収録されています。女性との別れを歌ったものですが、自身との別れを歌ったものだとも言われています。このアルバムはBob Dylanの２作目のスタジオアルバムで他に"Blowin'　In Tht Wind"も収録されています。

この曲はグループではThe Brothers Four,The Seekersも演奏していますが、やはり、Peter Paul and Maryのものが一番ですすね。 Paulさんのソロはなんとも言えず素晴らしい。1963年のビルボードHot100の9位となっています。なお、この年はPeter Paul and Maryの当り年で"Blowin'　In The Wind"”Puff” は共に2位となっています。


また、カバーバージョンはさまざまのアーティストによって演奏されています。
変り種を紹介しますと
1965年には”シェーリー”で有名なThe Four SeasonsがThe Wonder Whoと改名しシングルを発売 ビルボードHot100の12位となっている。


また、1968年　Flatt and Scruggsもアルバム　"Changing Times"で取上げています。
