I read the interesting article about AI and Tom Hanks.
Recently Hanks wrote on Instagram,
“ There’s a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me.
Beware. I have nothing to do with it.”
Hanks warned that promotion video was fake.
Hanks had previously spoken about the rise of AI in the film industry.
Hanks suggested that the technology could allow him to keep appearing in new movies after he dies.
He also said in another interview ,
AI Hanks would not be able to imitate a real performance.
But he did wonder if the audience would notice.
Hanks said ,
“ Without a doubt some people will be able to tell the difference, but the question is , wil they care? “
“ There are some people that won’t care, that won’t be able to tell the difference.”
Sadly, Hanks might be right about that.
Reading the article,
I wonder if the role of AI in the film industry will continue to expand?
No one will be able to prevent AI from expanding.
Therefore, various legal regulations will be necessary.
