英EY、監査不備で180万ポンドの罰金（economiaより）

EY fined £1.8m over Tech Data audit

Tech Data社という会社の監査に不備があったとして、英財務報告評議会（FRC）がＥＹに対して180万ポンドの罰金を課したというという記事。ＥＹも、不適正行為があったことを認めています。

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has fined the Big Four firm over its audit of Tech Data Limited (formerly known as Computer 2000 Distribution Limited)

EY admitted misconduct following an investigation launched in 2014.

ＥＹには、275万ポンドの罰金が課せられましたが、軽減要因を考慮して、180万ポンドに減額されています。元パートナー（現在はＰｗＣのパートナー）にも9万ポンド（減額後）の罰金が課せられました。

The firm was given a reprimand and a fine of £2.75m, which was adjusted for mitigating factors and discounted to £1.8m. Julian Gray, its former senior statutory auditor and audit engagement partner, was hit with a reprimand and a fine of £90,000, adjusted to £59,000. Gray is now a partner with PwC.

Tech Data社は、英国事業における会計上の不適切行為を訂正するために2011年から2013年までの決算をリステートをし、昨年、内部調査を開始しました。

Tech Data launched an internal investigation last year, after restating its accounts for the fiscal years 2011, 2012 and 2013, to correct “accounting improprieties” related to its UK business.
