英国の大企業で税務に関する開示が拡大（economiaより）

Increase in FTSE 100 firms disclosing tax

（少し古いニュースになりますが）英国のPwCの調査によると、FTSE100種に含まれる企業のうち、５６社が税金に対する自社のアプローチを開示しているそうです。これは2014年の実績ですが、2013年から7社増えています。

PwC reported that 56 FTSE 100 businesses disclosed their approach to tax in 2014, increasing by seven from 2013.

40社が税金支払い総額を開示し（前年は24社）、50社が税務ガバナンスに対するアプローチを開示しています（13社増加）。

PwC also found that 40 FTSE companies were keen to report their total tax collection – up from 24 – while 50 firms disclosed their approach to tax governance, increasing by 13.

PwCのパートナーによると、大企業がどのように税金を支払っているのかということに対して、否定できない関心が（社会的に）存在しているそうです。「企業が税金に関してどのような立場をとっているのかについて人々が知りたがっているということを、企業は認識している。今年に入って、すでに2件（1件は投資家から、もう1件はNGOから）のアンケート調査が、FTSE100種企業に送られている。利害関係者を現行の開示に向かわせることができれば、役立つだろう」

Andrew Packman, a PwC tax partner, said there was an undeniable interest in the way big businesses were paying their tax.

“Corporates recognise that people want to know where the company stands on tax,” Packman said. “Already this year two tax questionnaires have been sent to the FTSE 100, one from an investor, the other from an NGO.

“The interest in tax is undeniable and it’s helpful to be able to point interested parties to existing public disclosures.”

どの企業にもあてはまるような一般的なアプローチを有することは難しいが、やがて一定の幅に収まるだろうと、このパートナーは述べています。

Packman acknowledged that having a generic approach for all businesses – a one size fits all system – would be difficult, but explained that businesses could soon find themselves without much choice.

PwCのグローバル組織も、税金に関する透明性を求める動きが強まるというレポートを出しているそうです。

PwC’s global firm also released a report predicting an exponential increase in global transparency initiatives, citing proposed country-by-country reporting from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as just one of many examples.

In Reshaping the Tax Function of the Future, the firm said that external pressures from regulators and the public would force a greater need for corporate tax transparency.
