国際会計士連盟、女性理事が過半数を占める（economiaより）

IFAC board has female majority for first time

国際会計士連盟の年次評議会で6人の新任理事が選任され、そのうちの5人が女性だったという記事。これにより、8人の理事会メンバーのうち、女性が過半数である5人を占めることになるそうです。

The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is setting an example for the global accountancy profession on the gender diversity front – five of its eight board members are now women

女性が過半数となるのは初めてだそうです。

新任理事と現理事の氏名・肩書きは、記事原文をご覧ください。新任の女性理事の出身国は、英国、アイルランド、フランス、ケニア、ナイジェリア、男性理事は韓国です。

Five of the six new members voted on to the board at IFAC’s recent annual council meeting in Vancouver are women. They include: ICAEW president Fiona Wilkinson, representing the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies; Joan Curry, Chartered Accountants Ireland; Caroline Gardner, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy; Winnie Nyamute, Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya; and Ismaila Zakari, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

The sixth new member is Yeong Kyun Ahn from the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

継続する現理事は、Association of International Certified Professional Accountantsという団体の人と、ブラジルの独立監査人団体の人です。

They join returning board members Tommye Barie, Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, and Idésio da Silva Coelho, Instituto dos Auditores Independentes do Brasil and Conselho Federal de Contabilidade.

当サイトにいただいたコメントによると、上記の8人の理事は今回改選分で、このほかに15人の理事がいるそうです。非改選メンバーも含めて、女性理事が過半数を占めたということのようです。
