梅雨明けを思わせるような厳しい暑さが続いていますが、お変わりなくお過ごしのことと存じます。

さて、今日は24節気の「小暑」です。暑さのなかでも、爽やかな姿で朝を告げてくれる朝顔や、夜に咲きはじめ翌朝までの一晩でしぼむひと夜かぎりの月下美人の儚くも清らかな姿・・・ほんのひとときの、心の安らぎと、涼を感じる風景ですね。

最近、耳を疑うのですが、もう蝉が鳴き始めています。ほんの数匹ですが。ということは、もう梅雨明けなのでしょうか。それを聞いただけでも暑さ倍増ですね。明日は、久喜市の菖蒲地区、清久地区で夏祭りです。
