It is good to pray, "Lord,  Your kingdom come." but, it is more practical to pray, "Lord, grow within me." 

It is not difficult for the Lord to answer that prayer, but it is difficult for us to allow Him to grow within us. By being poor in our spirit and pure in our heart, we can give the Lord the ground to grow within us, and this growth will be the real coming of the kingdom. The more we allow Him to grow in us, the more we hasten the coming of the kingdom.

The Word of God, the first crystal in the Gospel of John, refers to Christ, the only begotten Son of God, as the definition, explanation, and expression of God. John unveils Christ as the great I Am, self-existing and ever-existing. Christ is the One who is eternal, without beginning or ending.

John 1 is the introduction to the whole Gospel of John, and the main stress of this introduction is that Christ is the Word of God—the definition, explanation, and expression of the mysterious and invisible God.

2 Timothy 1:10

2 Timothy 1:10 ...Our Savior Christ Jesus, who nullified death and brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel. 

Through His resurrection, Christ became the life-giving Spirit to impart God's life to us and regenerate us. Thus, having nullified death through His death, He brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel in His resurrection.

the Joy of Triune God becomes our joy

our God is a God of Joy, and He wants to give Himsef as joy to us, to fill us with Himself as joy. 

1. God the Father is joy. 

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Joy is one of God's attributes. if we enjoy God as grace, we will have peace, and if we have peace, we will have joy.

2. Christ is also joy

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be made full.

when Christ abides in us, His joy abides in us to be the source of our joy that our joy may abund and become full. 

3. there is joy in the Holy Spirit

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

when we touch the Lord in our spirit, enjoy the Lord, who wants to be our enjoyment, we will become joyful, making our soul happy in the Lord. 

how can the joy of the Triune God practically become our joy? if we abide in the Lord and keep abiding in Him by abiding in His love, we will be filled with joy. the primary matter that we need to take care of is enjoying the Lord. no matter what kind of outward circumstances we are in, the Lord who lives in us is our joy. while we enjoy the Lord in many aspects in our daily life, we are a joyful people, and any difficulty we encounter will help to deepen our joy in the Lord. 

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

1 John 4:19

1 John 4:19 We love because He first loved us.

To take Christ as our person is not to force ourselves to submit to Him but to live according to His preference because of our love for Him.

2 Timothy 4:1

2 Timothy 4:1 I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom. 

Not many believers realize that when the Lord Jesus comes back, He will not come as the merciful God or as the gracious Savior but as the righteous Judge. Christians should be warned and encouraged to prepare themselves to stand before this Judge. 

the bible has clearly told us that when the Lord comes back, at the judgement seat of Christ, we, as His believers, all need to give an account to Him. at this time, He will not be the merciful One to us, where we can beg His mercy and He will just let us go. No. He will be the righteous Judge, the foundation of whose throne is righteousness and justice. He will judge us according to righteousness how we conducted ourselves in our daily living. if we have this view, His coming will be a warning and reminder to us, that we can not live our life on the earth in a loose way. rather, our daily living should be governed in the light of His second coming.

In His economy God gives us one person and one way. The one person is the preeminent, all-inclusive Christ, and the one way is the cross. As the all-inclusive One, Christ is everytying to us. He is God, man, and the reality of every positive thing in the universe. God has given us this marvelous person to be our salvation. The one person, Christ, is the center of the universe; and the one way, the cross, is the center of of God's government. God governs everything by the cross and deals with everything by the cross. Therefore, just as Christ is the focal point of the universe, so the cross is the center of God's government.

Psalms 86:12

Psalms 86:12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; / And I will glorify Your name forever.

Praise is the highest work carried out by God's children. The Christian life soars through praises. To praise is to transcend everything to touch the Lord. 

1 Chronicles 4:10

1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh that You would richly bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand would be with me, and that You would so keep me from evil that it would not grieve me! And God caused what he had requested to come to pass.

we need to have such a prayer like Jabez, asking the Lord to enlarge our border, which is our enjoyment of the Lord, so that we can gain more of Christ day by day. if we pray such a prayer, God is more than willing and happy to answer our prayer, to cause what we request to come pass.
