↓長野インターから車で約1時間、春スキーのように、路上に雪はありません
About an hour drive from the Nagano Interchange, there is no snow on roads.
It seems like spring skiing.

因みに、白馬駅の標高は697mにあります。

コロナが収束に向かいつつあり、ゴンドラで久々に外国人と会話！
イングランド出身で、今はシンガポールで仕事をしているという男性と話しました。
As COVID 19 was coming to an end, I had a chance to have a conversation with a foreigner in the gondola for the first time in a while!
He was an English man working in Singapore.
「八方には昔から何度も来ているけど、3月の上旬でこんなに天気のいい八方はあり得ない」と伝えると、
「地球温暖化かな。ちょっと悲しい。」と言っていました。
確かに、麓のゴンドラ乗り場はもうブッシュが出てきていて、3月下旬まで運行できるのか心配です。
I said, "I've been to Happo many times, but it's early March and the weather can't be this good."
He said, "Maybe global warming. That's kind of sad."
Indeed, the gondola station at the foot of the mountain was already bushy, and I was worried that it will run until late March.
スキーを楽しんだ後の温泉と日本酒も大好きらしく、おススメのスキー場を聞かれました。
野沢は知っていたので、日本酒が好きなら新潟の湯沢や八海山が東京から近くておススメと伝えました。
「コースのむずかしさとコブの多さで白馬八方は最高だけど、コースの多様さと晴天率の高さなら志賀高原も捨てがたい～」
というのを伝える前にゴンドラは終点についてしまって時間切れ。残念
He told he loves hot springs especially after skiing as well as Sake, and asked me which ski area I recommend.
As he already knew Nozawa, which is popular with foreigners, I recommended Yuzawa and Hakkaisan in Niigata, which are close to Tokyo and have good sake.
"Hakuba Happo is the best because of the difficulty of slopes with plenty of bumps, but the variety of courses and the high rate of fine weather make Shiga Kogen difficult to throw away."
To my disappointment, the gondola reached the end of the line before I mentioned about Shiga

冬山というより、春のような陽気で、気持ちいいです。
…ところが翌日の昼過ぎ、突如として霧に覆われ、1m先も見えない状況に～～
やはり冬の八方尾根は怖いです。

The weather was like spring and I felt so good!
... but in the early afternoon of the next day, it suddenly became foggy and I couldn't see even a meter ahead.
We shouldn't forget Happo-one in winter is so scary.

Here is Ura-Kurobisi! You can never come here if the weather is bad.
