岩屋岩蔭遺跡（ウィキペディア）

金山巨石群　（金山町観光協会のページ）

金山巨石群は、縄文時代の「岩屋岩蔭遺跡」を含む周辺３か所の巨石群の総称。
1997年から考古天文学的調査が行われ、春分、秋分、夏至、冬至などの特定日に、巨石の隙間から太陽の光が差し込むことがわかった。
縄文時代（5千～8千年前から3千年前くらい？）から、太陽の動きを基にした季節の観測がされ、金山巨石群が太陽暦として機能し、利用されていたと考えられるとのこと。

The Kanayama megaliths are a general term for three megalithic groups in the vicinity, including the 'Iwaya Iwakage site' of the Jomon period.
Archaeoastronomical research has been conducted since 1997, and it has been found that sunlight shines through gaps in megaliths on certain days, such as the spring equinox, autumn equinox, summer solstice, and winter solstice.
It is believed that seasonal observations based on the movement of the sun were made in ancient times (from 5000 or 8000 to 2300 years ago?) and the Kanayama megaliths functioned as a solar calendar.
