小石川後楽園

東京ドームシティプリズムホールで世界らん展2024を観覧した後、小石川後楽園を散策しました。
After viewing International Orchid and Flower Show 2024 at the Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall, I took a stroll in Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens.

↓水道橋駅に近い東門
　East Gate near Suido-bashi Station

↓唐門　Karamon（Chinese-style gate）
かつての後楽園の入り口で、1945年の空襲で焼失しましたが、2020年に復元されました。
It was once the official entrance to the garden.
It was burnt down in an air raid in WWII in 1945 and was restored in 2020.

↓神田上水跡
Former site of Kanda water supply

↓梅林には、約150本の紅梅・白梅があるとのことです。
There are about 150 red and white plum (Ume) trees in the plum grove.

円月橋　Engetsu-kyo Bridge

徳川光圀が招いた明の儒学者が設計したと言われ、沖縄・九州地方を除く地域の中では最古級とされています
It is said to have been designed by a Confucian scholar in the Ming Dynasty who was invited by Tokugawa Mitsukuni, and is considered to be one of the oldest in the region except Okinawa and Kyushu.

↓西門から出ると、飯田橋駅が近いのですが、長い歩道橋を歩かなくてはならないので、お年寄りには大変です
If you go out from the west gate, Iidabashi station is close, but you have to walk a long pedestrian bridge, so it must be hard for the elderly.
