belated happy birthday

....Ooooooops!
I completely forgot Yoshi's birthday!!!

It was right after dinner yesterday, "there is no birthday cake...?" said Yoshi disappointedly. Wha...? Is it Nov 13 already!!?? Oh, no.... It totally slipped my mind. I served him only ordinary meal and that was it...
Grrr..! I hated myself! I had wanted so badly to do something special for him on his birthday. How could I forget it?

Yeah, I kind of predicted this to be happening.. I was overwhelmed by the family event, Shichi Go San in Tochigi, along with having my parents in law stay at my place. It was so likely that I would forget the following his birthday. Sigh... I should have highlighted the calendar!


...So instead, I threw his birthday party this evening. I made special Okonomi Yaki and mille-feuille for him! The former is his request. The latter I used frozen pie sheet and cream cheese. There was no special comment from him but he seemed happy. I hope I made it to compensated it.


I think I should consider more carefully about what comes first. I want to make Yoshi happy but in reality I always pick up fight with him.. I don't know why... (Most of the time it is because what Yoshi says rubs my back the wrong way, though.)
