Monkeys have sticks⇒monkeys have knives⇒monkeys have guns⇒monkeys have nuclear weapons.
In the process of human evolution from monkeys to humans, there must have been timing when sticks were used as weapons for the first time when fighting prey. What if those who were like monkeys at this point changed their weapons to knives, guns, and nuclear weapons while maintaining the same level of maturity?
In news and movies, we often see a young child brandishing guns without knowing the danger of them.
Humankind has created various weapons, systems, tools, etc., but have they been concerned about their mental maturity as users? If weapons, systems, tools, etc. are taken as physical aspects, it can be said that they are primates that can only succeed when they are able to make parallel progress in their physical and mental aspects, but unfortunately we are immature in our minds.
As the title suggests, science and technology has advanced dramatically, but if the minds of those who use those tools are immature, we will not know when we will be hurt by those tools.
This problem cannot be solved by enforcing detailed laws and systems, but is a matter of human emotions and spirituality. In the past, I advocated the introduction of Confucianism into compulsory education, but my argument was aimed at improving the mental aspect.
