『日本書紀』推古天皇 21
二月辛亥朔庚午、改葬皇太夫人堅鹽媛於檜隈大陵。是日、誄於輕術。第一、阿倍內臣鳥、誄天皇之命、則奠靈、明器・明衣之類萬五千種也。第二、諸皇子等、以次第各誄之。第三、中臣宮地連烏摩侶、誄大臣之辭。第四、大臣引率八腹臣等、便以境部臣摩理勢令誄氏姓之本矣。時人云「摩理勢・烏摩侶二人能誄、唯鳥臣不能誄也。」
≪英訳≫
On the 20th day of the 2nd month (辛亥朔庚午), the Imperial Consort Katahime (堅塩媛), daughter of Soga no Iname (蘇我稲目), consort of Emperor Kinmei (欽明天皇), and mother of Empress Suiko (推古天皇), was reburied at the Great Tomb of Hinokuma (檜隈大陵).
On that day, a mourning ceremony (shinobigoto, 誄) was held in the streets of Karu (軽, modern-day Kashihara City in Nara Prefecture).
First, Abe no Uchinoomi Tori (阿倍内臣 鳥) recited the Emperor’s words, offering tribute to the spirit. The offerings included ritual vessels and mourning garments, amounting to 15,000 items.
Second, the various imperial princes (諸皇子) performed their tributes in order of rank.
Third, Nakatomi no Miyatsuko no Muraji Omaro (中臣宮地連 烏摩侶) recited the words of Soga no Umako (蘇我馬子) as part of the tribute.
Fourth, Soga no Umako, the Ōomi (大臣), led a group of subordinate clans and instructed Sakaibe no Omi Marise (境部臣 摩理勢) to recite a tribute concerning the origins of the clan and surname.
At the time, it was said, “Among the three, only Marise (摩理勢) and Omaro (烏摩侶) recited their tributes skillfully. Tori no Omi (鳥臣), however, could not perform his recitation well.”

二月二十日（辛亥（しんがい）朔庚午（こうご））、皇太夫人である堅塩媛（かたしひめ）が、檜隈大陵（ひのくまのおおみささぎ）に改葬された。堅塩媛は蘇我稲目（そがのいなめ）の娘であり、欽明天皇の妃にして、推古天皇の母である。
この日、軽（かる 現在の奈良県橿原市大軽）の街中で、死者を悼む「誄（しのびごと）」が行われた。
第一に、阿倍内臣 鳥（あべのうちのおみ とり）が天皇のお言葉を奏上し、霊に物をお供えした。その供え物は、祭器や喪服などが合計で一万五千種類に及んだ。
第二に、諸皇子（しょこうし）が序列に従い、それぞれ誄を行った。
第三に、中臣宮地連 烏摩侶（なかとみのみやどころのむらじ おまろ）が、蘇我馬子（そがのうまこ）の言葉を誄として述べた。
第四に、大臣である蘇我馬子が、多くの支族を率いて、境部臣 摩理勢（さかいべのおみ まりせ）に氏姓の由来に関する誄を述べさせた。
当時の人々は「摩理勢と烏摩侶の二人はよく誄(しのびごと)を述べたが、鳥臣だけはよく誄をすることができなかった」と語った。
