World Economy in 2050-Challenges for Japan and Western Countries

When you look at the "World GDP Rankings in 2050," you notice that the leading roles have shifted to "anti-Western" countries, which is a significant change for Japan, heavily reliant on Western countries.

Let's first take a look at the projected "World GDP Rankings in 2050" by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers):

⭐️The countries marked with a star are the current G7 members.

It is a shocking prediction for Japan, a country that adores Western nations. The G7 members, in particular, have dropped in the rankings.

This prediction is hard to believe at first, but there is an underlying sense of unease that it may not be entirely off the mark.

At least for the next 30 years leading up to 2050, it seems to be an era of decline for Western countries, including Japan.

Moreover, upon closer examination of the rankings, one will notice that the leading roles in the world have shifted to "anti-Western" countries.

This is a significant concern for Japan, which has been heavily reliant on Western countries. In fact, the challenges have already begun.

The economic sanctions imposed by Western countries in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine have caused worldwide resentment.

Looking back, Western countries have consistently ignored the "voiceless voices" of other nations. Now, they are facing a harsh backlash. Moreover, this backlash is likely to continue for a long time.

It is hard to believe that Japanese politicians are foreseeing such a future and steering the course of politics. It is a truly troubling situation.

The Japanese people, who witnessed the horrors of World War II, have enjoyed being an economic powerhouse for over half a century thanks to their efforts. However, a thorny path awaits Japan as its economy continues to stagnate.

That's not all. The "white men's social club" represented by G7, in which Asians were finally able to participate, has created too many enemies through its arrogant and overbearing behavior.

It seems that these Western countries are also experiencing economic stagnation, causing them to fall from the "leading roles" in the world to the "villain roles."

Though it may be a self-inflicted consequence, Japan must prepare for an era in which it needs to find a way to escape from the sinking ship called Western countries.

For the Japanese, it will be a future full of ups and downs.

It will no longer be an era of nonchalant attitudes like "I love America" or "Everything will be fine if you learn English." I genuinely feel sorry for the younger generation.
