Scholars who have devoted their lives to "Russia studies" and loved Russia undergo a sudden about-face, proclaiming "Russia has always been a brutal country" - You wonder if they were "Researchers of the Russian Devil."
The media, which used to oppose amending the Japanese constitution and increasing military power, claiming to detest war.
However, that very same media has been neglecting discussions aimed at ending the war between Russia and Ukraine and instead, from morning till night, providing nonstop live commentary on the war.
Moreover, before and after the live war commentary, they explain the war as if it were a game or a sport, saying things like "tactics," "missiles," "bunker busters," "Javelin," "artillery," "tanks," "cluster bombs."
To make matters worse, they keep inciting with comments like "Go Ukraine!" "Russia has always been brutal," "Even if Ukraine surrenders, they will be massacred by Russia," and thus they are inflaming the idea that Ukraine has no choice but to fight to the bitter end.
And what's shocking is that these horrifying comments are being made by researchers specializing in Russia.
Scholars who love Russia and have made "Russia studies" their life's work.
Now these professors are suddenly doing a complete turnaround, claiming "Russia has always been a brutal country."
It seems they lack even the dignity of defending the Russia they used to love, as "researchers of Russia."
In the end, one can't help but be astonished, wondering if you were all researchers of an indefensible "Russian Devil."
In contrast, the America I have learned about is wonderful.
They clearly state that they will not engage in military intervention and consider the war between former Soviet nations as such. However, they provide Ukraine with funds and weapons to ensure that it won't easily succumb to Russia.
As expected, being a former Soviet member, Ukraine began fighting a battle to the bitter end against Russia.
America, without shedding blood, succeeded in having former Soviet citizens fight against each other.
President Biden is an incredibly astute strategist, preserving America's freedom and democracy through an internecine conflict among Soviet people.
NATO, initially in a panic over Russia's invasion of Ukraine, realized that it was best to stay out of it and watch from the sidelines, following America's lead.
Unfortunately, Ukraine, which realized it too late, descended into hell.
Perhaps Ukraine no longer knows why it's fighting. It will likely be used and then abandoned by Western countries.
Only the peace-loving Japanese government, media, and a few Japanese citizens are still burning with love for Ukraine, disregarding Japan's national interests and remaining excited.
Is Japan truly alright in such a state?
Rather than Ukraine, prioritize Japan.
Unless we face the harsh reality where our wishes for peace are not heard, and swiftly amend the constitution and strengthen our defense capabilities, no one will come to our aid.
Security is our own responsibility.
The Japanese government intends to join the military alliance called NATO while leaving Article 9 of the Constitution, the renunciation of war, intact.
However, from NATO's perspective, Japan must be an incomprehensible country.
