連日多数の質問が来て、真面目に答えているんですが・・・
少々疲れてきました・・・笑
少し休憩致します・・・。
今回は雑談のような事を書きます。

僕は小さな宿を経営していますので、当たり前ですがお客様が多数来られます。
またかなりの方が私の「撮影ツァー」を申し込まれます。
もちろん一緒に撮影ポイントを回るわけですが、
何時間も車の中で一緒に行動します。
その間の時間がとても大切です。
「顧客満足」と言う言葉がありますが、
プロは普通にお客（クライアント）を満足させなければいけません。
撮影していない時間も大切です。
お客様の撮影経験・技術にあわせて適切なアドバイスをする。
この先何年も写真を楽しむわけですから、
必ず役に立つ様な助言をして上げるのです。
自慢するわけではありませんが、僕のツァーはリピーターになる方が多いです。
中には遠く沖縄から年に数回参加される方もおります。
飛行機代も大変です。しかもその方は一度いらっしゃると3～4泊必ずされます。
また生憎天候が悪くて撮影に向かない日もあります。
そんな日は「現像術講義」をします。
なんであれどうであれ、今後の写真ライフに必ず役立つような事をお教えします。

また先日、やはり毎年2回、必ず撮影ツァーを申し込まれる女性が、
初めてお嬢様とお二人で宿泊されました。
お嬢さんの方は北海道に来るのも生まれて初めてです。
今風のお嬢さんですから、
携帯電話でキャーキャー言いながら撮影しています。
そんな場合でも、ちょっと言い過ぎない程度に、
携帯での撮影方法を教えてあげます。
そして上手に撮れたら褒めて差し上げる。
これだけで、がぜん本人はやる気を出し、
頑張って撮り続けるようになります。
さて、僕が今日書くことは「記念写真」についてです。
その「記念写真」に関して、
私の宿で一番忘れられない思い出を書きます。
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
数年前宿泊された3人のご家族がいました。
お母様（80歳以上）、娘（50歳代）、孫娘（20歳代）の３人でした。
夕食時にとても楽しそうにステキな笑顔で話されていました。
私は当時、希望されるお客様の食事中のお写真を、撮らせて頂いておりました。
ただこのご家族は見ていてとても微笑ましかったので、思わず、
「写真撮らせて頂けませんか？」こちらからそう声かけましたら、「ぜひ撮ってください。」とのことで、すぐに３枚ほど撮影しました。
お帰りの際、小さな額に入れて一枚プレゼントさせて頂きました。
自分で言うのもなんですが、素晴らしい笑顔が撮れた一枚でした。
さてその後3年ほどたってから、
またそのお客様がお泊り下さいました。
ただし今度は２名様で、娘さんとお孫さんだけでした。
その年のはじめにお母様が他界されたそうです。
『もう一度母がここに来たいと言ってました。』
「そうでしたか・・・それはとても残念ですね・・・。」
夕食時にそんな会話をちょっとだけして、
その日は満室でしたので忙しく動いておりました・・・。
そして途中・・・お料理を出しに行きましたら、
なんと、驚いたことに、私が数年前に差し上げた額入り写真がテーブルの上に・・・・。
お孫さん曰く、
『おばあちゃんがこの写真が大好きで大好きで、
自分の人生の中で、この時の笑顔が一番好きだって・・・そう言ってたので・・・。』
娘さんであるお母様も、
『母が生前自分が死んだら、葬式はこの写真にして欲しいと言いまして・・・母の写っている部分だけプリントして使わせていただきました。』
「あの時の３人での楽しい食事が忘れられなくて・・・今日、写真の母も一緒に参加させたくて・・・。」
私は思わず言葉に詰まってしまいました。
そして多分・・・少しばかり目から熱いものが・・・・。
たった一枚の写真が人の大切な人生にこれほど感動を与えることが出来るんだ！
なんて素晴らしいことだろう！
改めて写真の持つ「力」を感じた瞬間でした。
・・・そして今度はお母様から、
『写真の母も入れて、また3人で記念写真を撮って頂けますか？』
もちろん撮らせて頂きました。
またこの一枚が大切な思い出になるよう、心をこめて・・・。

僕は今、この親子に深く感謝しています。
ともすれば、毎日の仕事の中で当たり前に写真を撮っていると、
機械的に行動し、金になることばかり考えて、忘れてしまう大切なことがあります。
その大切な事を、彼女達は思い出させて下さいました。
若い頃、自分が写真に持っていた情熱が、
今また沸々と心の底から湧いてきたのです・・・。
僕にとっても忘れられない、この一枚は大切な「記念写真」になりました・・・。

Well, what I am going to write today is about "commemorative photos".
I would like to write about my most unforgettable memory of the "souvenir photo" at the inn.
A few years ago, there was a family of three who stayed at the inn. They were a mother (over 80 years old), a daughter (in her 50s), and a granddaughter (in her 20s). They looked very happy and had wonderful smiles on their faces at dinner.
At the time, I was taking commemorative photos free of charge for guests who wanted them.
But this family was so smiling that I couldn't help but ask them, "Would you mind if we take your picture? I asked them. And I immediately took about three pictures of them. When I left, I framed one of them and gave it to her as a gift. I can't say it myself, but I was able to take pictures of three wonderful smiling faces.
About three years later, the same guest stayed with us again. This time, however, there were only two guests, a daughter and a grandchild. The mother had passed away at the beginning of that year.
She said, "My mother wanted to come here again."
I am so sorry to hear that.
We had a short conversation at dinner and were busy working because the room was full that day.
And when I went to serve the dishes on the way, to my surprise, I found that I had been here for several years, To my surprise, a framed photo I had given them several years ago was on the table.
The grandson said, "Grandma loves this picture so much, she said she loved the smile on her face the most in her life." so she said.
Her daughter, the mother, also said,
When my mother was alive, she told me that if she died, she wanted this photo to be used for her funeral...so I printed out the part of the photo that shows her."
I couldn't forget the fun dinner the three of us had together... I wanted my mother in the picture to be able to join us today..."
I was at a loss for words.
And maybe... a little drop of water spilled from my eyes.
How a single photo can make such an impression on someone's precious life!
How wonderful! It was a moment when I once again felt the "power" of photography.
And now from the mother,
Can you take another commemorative photo of the three of us, including my mother in the picture?
Of course we did.
I was so happy to be able to take this picture, and I hope that it will become a precious memory.
I am now deeply grateful to this father and son.
When we take photographs as a matter of course in our daily work, we act mechanically, thinking only about making money, and forgetting important things. These women reminded me of that important thing.
The passion I had for photography when I was young was now surging up again from the bottom of my heart. This photo has become an unforgettable "souvenir photo" for me as well.

「青い池」の時も今回の記念写真のエントリーもKentさんの為人がにじみ出ているように感じます。
あのAppleのMacBookProRetinaの発表の際に青い池の壁紙を初めてみて、なぜか誰の作品なのかが無性に知りたくなり、この写真が日本人の作品と知ったときはMacユーザーのハシクレとして大変嬉しく思いました。
と同時に、（嬉しく思う以上に）何か心に残る余韻に写真以上の何かを感じたのを思い出しました。
今思えばそれはKentさんの為人なのではなかったのかと（誠に僭越ながら）勝手に解釈させてい頂いてます。
それもちまきさん,いやShiraishiさんのお人柄でしょうけど。
いつも素晴らしい写真ありがとうございます。
「青い池」のテレビ番組で拝見しました。
当然ですが、ちまきさんの動く表情や声音に初めて接し、予想してきた通りの方だったと感動しました。
今年は小生にとりましても、FMC時代からご指導をいた抱いてきていることを誇りに感じ、新しい写真世界へ進む勇気をいただけた記念すべき2012年になりそうです。
今回の素晴らしいエッセーから「写真はカメラではなくヒトが撮るもの」との確信を深めています。
最近のデジタルカメラは「道具」である本分を逸脱し、ヒトより優れた画像を提供しているような慢心があると思います。
アップル社の「Retina」ディスプレイ表現がヒトが「眼で捉えて脳で見る」能力の凄さに比べたらどのような高級カメラと言えども遠く及ばなく、その“虚像”を撮影者の見た実像に調整して初めて自分の作品にできるということ、そのプロセスも含めて作品づくりの楽しさがあると、ちまきさんの講義からも勉強させていただきました。
「記念写真」には、写される方々が寄せる撮影者への心と撮影者の思いや物語がしっかり写り込んでいると思います。
