Mars

Mars was contiguous the earth for two years yesterday.
Today is fine day,you can see red lighten Mars on southern sky.

Mars is a planet that is the nearest the earth in solar system.
In the future,we should be able to travel or move to Mars.
What would you do,if you could go to Mars?

Bad weather.

Recently weekend,Kanto region in bad weather.
Especially,the southern part is rainy day.
The northen part isn't too bad.
Is it abnormal weather?

I want to eat...

I wanna eat a persimmon now.
I like fruits.
The persimmon is typical autumnal fruits.

Frost of the season.

It is toward falling frost of the season today.
In Japan has 24 points in the season to show rightly the season.

By the way,Mt. Asama or mountains of northern Gunma was covered
with a thin coat of snow today.
Winter is coming near.

And just a year ago,the people in Niigata were striked big shock of
earthquake.
The people of Gunma were earthquake too.
I can't forget that...

Gunma pref. looks like a flying crane.

Gunma has some hot springs.
Kusatsu Onsen is one of famous hot springs in Japan.

And speaking of special products,these are a leek and paste made
from the arum root.
paste made from the arum root is called "Kon-nyaku" in Japanese.

And "Tori-meshi" is one of famous box lunch in Gunma.
That is roasted chicken on the rice.You should try to eat it when
you come to Gunma.

Today's shikishima was like small Gunma festival.

Ryoma Sakamoto

This statue is Ryoma Sakamoto.
He is the Meiji Restoration patriot.
He had foresight. He wore shoes with kimono.
And he didn't have a long sword who had just a short sword.
He made the first company in Japan.

He is one of the greatest patriots in Japan.

River Shimanto.

This is "Chinka-bashi".
This bridge has no railing.
The reason is the bridge isn't broken when it was an inundation.

Ultra Marathon Part 2.

We stared at 5:30.
There was still dark before dawn.
And there was lit up both side of the road by torches about 100m.
And after that,the road lit up by head light of cars or motorcycle.
It was like "Road of Lights".

The day broke after we ran 30 minuites.

The last pure stream in Japan.

Shimanto river is called the last pure stream in Japan.
Because there is not dams.

Ultra Marathon.

I went to Shimanto city to run an ultra marathon on Sunday.
Do you know an ultra marathon?
Marathon is to run 42.195km(26.2miles).
Ultra marathon is to run more than marathon distance.
And I ran a hundred kirometers at 11th River Shimanto Ultra Marathon.
This ultra marathon has two category,100km and 60km.
The people run 100km who started at 5:30.
About a thousands and five hundred peple started in front of warabioka junior
high school in Shimanto city.
