The end of the rainy season!

2006-07-30 21:01:39 | What is Today.
The rainy season is over except the Tohoku district today.
The weatherforcast said that the end of the rainy season
would be the end of July or the first of Augast.
But a seasonal rain front has droped and the blue sky spread over.

Summer has just come!
But the damage of the heavy rain was serious.

Hero

Who is your hero?

I think everyone has a hero or a heroine perhaps an athlete or
a cartoon hero or a historical person.
At first, I think of the masked rider or the Ultra-man.
They are champions of justice and fight against a evil and
keep peace of the world. And their deadly blow is so cool ; it is
what little boys imitate. They are a hero for people of all generations.
But the hero who isn't a champion of justice is the Godzilla.
The Godzilla destroys cities or symbolic buildings.
But we'd like the Godzilla to do it. Because the Godzilla
destroys bad symbols for us, like the Diet Building after a corruption
case. So, the Godzilla is our hero.

Are you a hero?

Muggy.

It is crazy rainy season this year.
It is not like rainy season and muggy weather.
Today's discomfort index was 80.
I think the actual measurement was 120.
The second tyhoon is approaching Okinawa.
Is that effect of the Global warming?
Let's stop global warming by our power!

Global Warming. 2

The discharged amount of greenhouse gasses last year
hasn't been informed to the goverment.
If we couldn't cut down that in the least, we would have to
make more of an effort.
But I believe that we can do that. Because Japanese has "Mottainai"
spirit. We have just been forgetting that.
Wangari Maatai assistant minister for Emvironment and Natural
Resources, Goverment of Kenya said "In a world of material
prosperity the concept of mottainai may not exist. Mottainai
is not just about material loss, but also about the sense of
respect and compassion for the story behind every material object.
This is a Japanese virtue, and it would truly be mottainai to
lose sight to it now."
If we could remember that and struggle to cut down greenhouse
gasses seriously, we would archieve it with in a short period
of time. So, let's start mottainai. We can do it!
