Scotland's prime minister

I confirmed this morning that my NOVA points will expire tomorrow. I immediately booked today's lesson.

The teacher I booked was Scottish, so I checked the news about Scotland.

I talked about the news at the beginning of the lesson.

But the teacher knew nothing about the situation in Scotland. So I was very disappointed in her.

I told her this……

Humza Yousaf has been elected to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as Scotland's prime minister.

Yousaf was backed by SNP and  Greens,these two parties having a power-sharing agreement.

Yousaf pledged to continue many of Nicola Sturgeon's plans.

He said 

We will be the generation that will realize the independence of Scotland from the UK.

However Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the UK government will continue to refuse to grant formal consent for another independence referendum.

What is the future of Scottish independence?

UK is amazing.

Prime Minister Sunak is Hindu, the Mayor of London and the Prime Minister of Scotland are Muslim.

I wonder if religion is not a big issue for UK people anymore today .
