志賀高原スキー場　Shiga Kogen Ski Area 

晴天の志賀高原、満喫してきました～～
広くて解放感抜群の志賀高原。ツアーをするには最高の一日となりました～～

It was so beautiful day that I could enjoy skiing around Shiga Kogen Ski Area. 
Shiga Kogen is so huge that skiing around the area is like a real tour.

Shiga Kogen is the largest ski resort in Japan...I think.
It consists of 5 areas including 18 ski resorts.
You can go around 15 resorts without taking off your skis. (Shibutoge, Yokoteyama, and Kumanoyu are a little bit far from the main area.) 
You can also take a free shuttle bus connecting 5 areas.

西館山スキー場最上部/Top of Nishi-dateyama Ski Resort

ちょうど真ん中の赤い丸印あたりになります。
We are at the red dot in the center of this map.

 

　南西方向、お椀をひっくり返したような山が、飯綱高原スキー場？
奥に連なる白く連なる山々は、白馬スキー場のある北アルプスです。

The white mountain range in the picture is the North Alps, which has many ski resorts including Hakuba.

 

　目の前が高天ヶ原マンモススキー場。
標高2,000ｍにある東館山ゴンドラの山頂駅が見えます。

Takamagahara Mammoth Ski Resort is in front of you.
Can you see the mountain-top-station (2,000m high) of Higashi-dateyama Gondola?

 

 
　9:28am　高天ヶ原スキー場の上部より /From the top of Takamagahara Mammoth Ski Resort 

右が片斜面のコブが少し見えます。
正面左の広くて白いスキー場が一ノ瀬ダイヤモンド、右奥の山が焼額山スキー場です。

Can you see the bumps on the slope?
The white broad slope opposite on the left is Ichinose Diamond Ski Resort, and Yakebitai Ski Resort is on the right over the mountain.

高天原から、タンネの森を抜け、一ノ瀬メインゲレンデの下に降ります。
車道上の板を履いたまま滑り込める高架を降り、一ノ瀬ダイヤモンドのリフトを上がると、山の神スキー場を通って焼額山スキー場の下部に滑り込めます。
ここから、ゴンドラやリフトを乗り継ぎ、滑りながら横移動。
やっと、奥志賀高原スキー場の有名な奥志賀高原ホテルのあるエリアに到着です。

To reach Okushiga-kogen Ski Resort, you need to go down Takamagahara, go through the woods called Tanne no Mori, go down Ichinose Family, go up Ichinose Diamond by riding the lift, go through Ichinose Yamanokami, and get to Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort.
Getting on some gondolas and lifts and skiing, you can finally get to Okushiga, where famous Okushiga Kogen Hotel stands.
What a long way!!

奥志賀高原で昼食　ホテルグランフェニックスで～。ホテルランチは超豪華だったけれど、ネットで手に入れた「志賀高原内、リフト券+食事1,000円割引付きのお得クーポン」を使用したら、クーポンを使える店が限られていて、店を見つけるのが大変でした～～　Lunch at Okushiga

奥志賀高原下部/Bottom of Okushiga Kogen

午前中に焼額山を滑りましたが、山頂から麓まで一気に滑ると、中腹あたりから急に手ごわいベタ雪に変化　志賀高原で、一番混みあっていることもあり、早々に奥志賀に移動して昼食をとり、一ノ瀬方面に戻ることにしました。奥志賀の雪は抜群に良く、リフト上部下のバーンはなかなか良いのですが、下部の緩やかなスロープが、長すぎるのが難点です。

奥に見えるのが、さっきまで居た奥志賀高原下部です～

　12:59pm
一ノ瀬のメイン、ファミリーゲレンデが見えてきました。さらにその奥が寺子屋スキー場。

Approaching to Ichinose Family Resort, you can also see Terakoya Ski Resort, the highest mountain (2,125m) in this area, behind Ichinose.

山の神スキー場、さらに一ノ瀬ダイヤモンドに戻るには、焼額山の長い尾根を通る長くて適度な斜度のコースを行くのですが、これが最高に気分爽快
天気の良い日は、絶対お薦めです

Going back to Yamanokami and Ichinose Diamond, you should go along the long ridge of Mt. Yakebitai.
The long slope is so comfortable that you must feel refreshed if you ski on a sunny day!

一ノ瀬ダイヤモンドスキー場に戻ってきました。正面の広い斜面が、一ノ瀬のメインゲレンで一ノ瀬ファミリーです。
上から下までの約1㎞の広い斜面が、ほぼ一直線に伸びていています。上部がアイスバーンになっていないと、一気に滑り降りる爽快感は半端ないです
さらにその奥が寺子屋スキー場です。

Here is on the top of Ichinose Diamond. The broard slope opposite is Ichinose Family, the main resort of Ichinose.
It is about 1km from the top to the bottom.
The upper slope is sometimes icy, but if not, it is so nice to ski from the top to the bottom without stopping.
Behind Ichinose Family lies Terakoya Ski Resort.

一ノ瀬ファミリーの最上部にやって来ました。
左が高天原スキー場に向かい合う、西館山スキー場
右の真っ白なゲレンデが、一ノ瀬ダイヤモンドです。

Here we are at the top of Ichinose Family.
The left slope is Nishdateyama opposite to Takamagahara.
You can see Ichinose Diamond, a white broad slope, on the right.

一ノ瀬ダイヤモンドの右側が、山の神スキー場と焼額山方面になります。
On the right side of Ichinose Diamond lies Yamanokami and Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort.

寺子屋山頂/The top of Terakoya Ski Resort

東館山の長野オリンピック大回転コース（雪不足でブッシュはありましたが）を滑り、東館山ゴンドラ(1,384m)で山頂駅まで行き、寺子屋方面に滑り降りてから、寺子屋クワッドリフトに乗って到着～～。
中央左側に、東館山のゴンドラの山頂駅が見えます。

ここから東館山の林間コースを通り、ブナ平を抜けて、ジャイアントスキー場の最下部まで降りるロングコース（約6km)が私のお気に入りです。
ジャイアントから1本リフトを登れば、すぐに宿に着けますが、宿からの出発予定時刻が16:00pm
速攻で温泉に入って、何とか間に合いました　まだまだ若いぞ～

志賀高原のツアースキーは最高です。晴天率も高いということなので、是非志賀高原に行ってみてください！

From the top of Terakoya, going through the widing course between trees in Higashidateyama, going along the wide gentle slope of Bunadaira, and reaching the foot of Giant Ski Resort is my favorite.  It is about six-kilomete-long course.
I could reach the hotel in Hasuike Ski Resort next to Giant with riding another lift after I got to the foot of Giant.
I was in time for the leaving time, 16:00pm.
Before leaving I could take an Onsen bath, hot spring at the hotel.
I was so quick, wasn't I?

They say Shiga Kogen has a high rate of fine weather. I recommend that you should visit there at least once if you really want to enjoy skiing in Japan!!
