八海山スキー場 Hakkai-san Ski Resort 2018

↑正面が八海山。そして、左手に八海山スキー場のまっすぐに伸びた長いスロープが見えています。ワクワク！
Mt. Hakkaisan is just in front of you!  You can see the long straight slop of Hakkaisan Ski Resort on the left.
So Exciting!

因みに、スキーの後は、魚沼の里・八海山雪室
に寄りました～。その様子は、ページの下の方で…

気づいたあなたはすごい！
上（左）は3月14日（水）に撮った写真、下（右）は3月15日（木）に撮った写真です。
そして、3月14日の写真には、「本日定休日」の文字が～～～～！
何と、八海山スキー場は、水曜日が定休日だったのです。まさかまさか…
ここまで来て、とても滑らずには帰れないので、14日は湯沢で滑って1泊し、15日にまた、戻ってきたのでした。トホホ…

The top photo (left) was taken on Wednesday, March 14, and the bottom (right) one was on Thursday, March 15.
On the photo taken on Wednesday, you can see the words saying "Today is a regular holiday" .
Surprisingly, Hakkaisan Ski Resort is closed on Wednesdays. No way. ...
As it was impossible for me to go back without skiing in Hakkai-san, I skied in Yuzawa on Wednesday, stayed there one night, and came back on Thursday.
So tough...

81人乗り、距離2,217mのロープウェイで山頂に！緩いスロープはほとんどないコースなので、「とにかく滑りたい」人には最適！
ただし、相当タフな上、迂回コースもかなりきついので、根性のある中級以上の人向きです
以前はゴンドラでしたが、ロープウエイが10分おきくらいで運行されていて、以外と便利。ただただ滑りたい人に最高です

Hakkaisan is a hidden powder treasure trove, with one of the steepest and longest powder runs in Japan.
A majority of the upper slopes are left ungroomed and can be lapped with quick and easy access via the 81 people tram that whisks visitors 2,217m up the mountain.
The ropeway runs every 10 minutes, so it's rather convenient! 

平均斜度に注目してみると、このスキー場のてごわさがわかると思います。エキスパートコースの非圧雪のコブバーンは相当です。

 

 

   
相変わらず、コブゲレンデがすごいです。どこまでもどこまでも続く～～！
でも、雪が相当重いです。

As always, the slope covered with bumps is so nice! It seems to last forever ~ ~!
But...the snow is quite heavy.

そして、知ったのは、カービングスキーの滑りやすさ！すごいです～～！
雪の良い時に、また八海山に挑戦したくなりました。

I tried the carving skis I bought this season for the first time.
And I found them so nice. I deccided to try again at Hakkaisan with good snow quality.

Speaking of Hakkaisan, ... of course Japanese sake!

八海山雪室を見学すると、日本酒や甘酒など、色々なお酒が試飲できます。ものすご～く、美味しい！
下は、焼酎の貯蔵庫と、メモリアル焼酎の預かりをしている棚です。
さらに、販売も！もちろん大量購入してしまった

If you visit Hakkaisan Yukimuro (Snow Room), you can try to taste various kinds of sake such as Japanese sake, Amazake, etc.
Below are the sheves where Shochu (traditional Japanese distilled spirit) storage and Memorial Shochu are kept.
Of course they sell various kinds of sake, so I bought them in bulk.
