↓三条燕インターの出口です。
It's the exit of Sanjo-Tsubame Interchange.

↓JRの駅名は燕三条駅です。
The name of the JR station is Tsubame-sanjo Station.

燕三条と三条燕が同時に存在？2023年9月、NHKで放送された「ブラタモリ」でもやっていましたが、摩訶不思議です。
燕三条は金物や洋食器で有名ですが、1つの市ではなく、燕市と三条市に分かれていて、仲が悪くて合併できなかった（？）ようです。

Tsubame-sanjo and Sanjo-tsubame existed at the same time?  Isn't it so mysterious?
This episode was also shown on the NHK broadcast  program called "Bra Tamori" in September 2023.
Tsubame Sanjo is famous for its hardware and Western tableware, but it is not a single city.  It consists of Tsubame City and Sanjo City.
It is said that they did not get along so well that they could not merge.

弥彦神社/ Yahiko Shrine

 

 

　

　

 

 

弥彦神社は、８世紀に編纂された「万葉集」にも歌われている、由緒正しき神社です。
越後平野西部の弥彦山（標高634m）山麓に鎮座し、弥彦山を神体山として祀っています。
Yahiko Shrine is a shrine with a long history, as described in the Manyoshu compiled in the 8th century.
It is located at the foot of Mt. Yahiko (634 m above sea level) in the western part of the Echigo plain, and it is worshipped as a sacred mountain.

鹿園を抜けると、驚くものがありました。何だと思いますか？
When I passed the deer garden,  I found something so strange.  Guess what?

それは競輪場です。
実は、私がこの神社に来た理由は、「ブラタモリ」の予告に「競輪場がある神社？」と書いてあったからです。
まだ、放送される前だったので、競輪場の係の人が、「もう放送されましたっけ？タモリさん達は、この位置で撮影していましたよ」と教えてくれました。

It's a bicycle racetrack.
As a matter of fact, the reason I came to this shrine is because I found the notice of "Bura Tamori" saying "shrine with a velodrome?" 
As it was not broadcast yet, the person in charge of the bicycle racetrack told me, "Has it been aired yet? Tamori and others were shooting here."

弥彦競輪場/ウィキペディア

1950年に開設した競輪場。2005年から弥彦村所有になったとのこと。
冬場は雪のため、本場開催は4月～11月。

The velodrome opened in 1950. It has been owned by Yahiko Village since 2005.
Because of the snow in winter, bicycle races are held from April to November.
