This post show a guide on how to use OBDSTAR X300 DP PLUS to program remote for Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013

Purpose: generate remote -> read pincode > program remote
Car model: Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013

Tools need:
VVDI Key tool : used to generate remote firstly
OBDSTAR DP plus: used to program remote, read pincode
Reason to use them: Via OBD. no dismantling and desoldering the immobilizer box.

PS: OBDSTAR DP plus = OBDSTAR key master DP plus, their difference is the outlook.

Part 1: use VVDI Key tool to generate remote
Generate remote -> Remote program -> Remote key

America ->Chevrolet -> Trailblazer

Use XN remote (chip ID 46 7937E)

Put battery and press [Gen].

Burn succeed.

Setup remote module into remote shell.

Part 2: Use OBDSTAR key master DP plus to program Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax 2013 key

PS: it is very easy to do by following the on-screen message.

Read Pin code

Turn on ignition with programmed key.

Read pincode.

There is Pincode in Service Booklet: 9465

If no service booklet, then you can find by OBDII.
Tap “Enter” – GM 31.15 -> Read security Code.

By OBDII -> BCM system -> Auto

Please ensure the internet connection is fine.

Read Pincode — Logging…
 
Pincode: 9465

Program Chip
Back to tap: GM 31.15 -> Immobilizer-> Select from type -> Type3

Check key data: 2 keys.

Clear DTC.

All keys lost -> fill pin code:9465
 
Switch off for 5 seconds, then switch on.

System configuration, please wait for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes.

Switch off and pull the key out.

Open and close driver door.
Switch on.
Whether to program next key? [Yes].

Insert new key and switch on.

Solution of Mercedes C4 Xentry DAS License Key is Corrupted

Step 1: Run StartKeyCenter to get ID for activation
Open “StartKeyCenter” on Desktop, to get the SDconnect c4Hardware ID and App ID

Complete Licence information (Hardware ID, App ID, StartDay, ExpirationDay), then click “Generate” to get License String

Copy License String, then go to “StartKeys”, click “Enter” to read StartKey, then “Save” data

Step 2: Reactivate Xentry/DAS

Go to Local Disk C:/ ProgramData/ LicDir, the copy and paste “lic_key_2.dat”, re-name as “lic-key_2.x4711”

Setup Properties of “lic-key_2.x4711”, select Read-only
Then open XENTRY Diagnostics Openshell and close it
(NOTE: this avoids the activation code to be lost and reactivate Xentry)

How to do Offline Coding & Programming with DAS for MB SD Connect C4/C5 Star Diagnostic Tool?

Offline coding:

SCN or CVN coding was added to the cars back in 2003 if not earlier . The idea of OFFLINE coding was to be able to make SCN codings when you don’t have an internet connection at your workshop to be able to perform this online. In both cases an SCN or CVN coding was required.

Let’s not confuse OFFLINE coding with simple CODINGS !



Codings can be done with regular DAS or Developer DAS more deeply. Coding does not imply that you have to replace your unit software completely. If you have to make an Offline coding this implies to flash your unit with an updated software version or at least the same version which you have already (not sure if you will be able to downgrade your software) and then SCN code that one to be activated in your car. I’m not aware of any car which can be OFFLINE coded without the request for an SCN code.



The only good point here is the time needed to do this. Yes , you can make OFFLINE coding with your system and then go back to the dealer and ask them to make an SCN coding for you…however are u sure they will not charge you the same amount as if it was done in their workshops ?



The internal VIN of this car (e.g.w211): is WDB2110261AXXXXXX



The first letter of the external VIN after “WDB” gives the body style, like

– U for MB means 211

– F means Sedan

– next two digits are the model within the body type, seems to be a direct copy from the internal VIN

– next digit is about the SRS system, I’ve found explanations up to the letter F, so this car must have more SRS equipment than known when my reference was drafted

– position 9 is a check digit and the tenth digit comes from the model year.



It is much easier to find this if you enter the external VIN to EPC and let it decode the internal VIN for you. Then pick up digits 4-9.

Office programming:

If you want to program ecu ‘offline’, there are several options:

In DAS, you can program ecu’s offline. (In xentry, you have to buy xentry calculator.)
Vediamo is the way to go to program ecu offline and is used by daimler factory
If you want only for 204.041 as above, you can try to use 204 in DAS. and there is free offline programming

between those three options, vediamo is the best and can be used for 99% vehicle’s model



Noe that: For those with Star diagnosis for 100usd around. DAS is your way to go.



DAS (older models before 2011, but still most cars communicate through this program)

Xentry (new model cars 2011-2016)

If you set it up correctly, you can program offline in DAS only. Then if we need to go online with DAS we switch the modified flash folder to the original.

Xentry there is no offline programming, only online. Obviously, you need to have login and pass to go online.

Btw, offline programing is an ancient way of the service,..nowadays its better to use online services,…its safety,..and quickly



The last, how to enable DAS for offline programming:

Option 1: (try on your own risk)

It’s very simple to enable “Offline” programming in newest DAS version

copy this file to

F:\Programme\DAS\trees\pkw\flashen\ini

(click yes, to replace existing).

If you don’t have this function for any concrete car – check first six VIN digits for this car, and add to this file in model section.

for sample – to enable option for WDD221054 – add text string to file :

221.054=YES



Option 2: (try on your own risk)

Open F:\Programme\DAS\trees\pkw\flashen\ini on the notepad and add ->

How to Register Infiniti QX56 Smart Key with Launch X431 Diagun IV

 

 

Launch X431 Diagun IV has lots of special function capacities, i.e EPB, Oil reset, ABS bleeding, TPMS reset, DPF, IMMO etc  Here’s the test report of immo function. Guide to register 2 keys to a 2010 Infiniti QX56 with diagun4.

Connect Diagun IV scanner with vehicle via OBD socket

Select Special Functions->IMMO->Infiniti

Turn on ignition switch

Reading vehicle information

Read VIN,model, year etc success

Select Immobilizer/Key Programming->PIN code

Read 5-digit pin code success

Choose Smart key function->Automatic Scan->Rotary key type->Smart key

Insert smart key into key slot . Turn on ignition switch.

Select Register I-key

1-key ID registration will be performed.

Insert the registered mechanical key, turn on ignition

Erase completed

Remains 4 keys unregistered

Select key 1 position

Press I-key’s button (within the inside key antenna detection area)

1st key has been registered.

Insert next registered ignition key into key cylinder

Press I-key button as well

2nd smart key has been registered

Launch X431 Diagun IV registered 2 Infiniti smart keys completed.

Test the new keys.
