Two more dogs from Fukushima have been rescued from being euthanized. A wonderful vet who has been active in the disaster area for a long time took in two dogs from the Fukushima pound. On February 24th a volunteer drove all night in the snowstorm to bring the dogs to the RJAV Tokyo shelter.
We named this puppy Teddy (♂) He is about two months old.
He is being treated for stomach problems so is separated from the other animals. We are keeping him warm.
We named this one Elsa (♀) .She is a little skinny and was quite shaky at first. Unfortunately she is filaria positive and is being dewormed now.
Just like the lioness, we hope she grows up to be lithe and strong.
