What a hell is this temperature?!
It was 20 ℃ BELOW ZERO yesterday's morning !
I don't think lots of people know this but, Toronto is one of the most windy cities in North America. When winds blow strongly, you feel much more freezing than the actual temperature. This is called "wind chill."
The wind chill yesterday's morning was -36℃!!!! Can you believe it? No, I can't. Rather I don't want to believe it.
As I mentioned before, I go to the gym 2 - 3 times a week, in the mornings. I walk there. I couldn't believe that the temperature before I left home but, the pain in my face, thighs and buttocks told me how freezing it was!
They were hurting like getting thousands of flue shots there. It was not just freezing but PAINFUL!!
It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the gym. The first 5 minutes, I came to be suspicious if I could make it. The next 5 minutes, my thighs were seriously hurting as much as my bare face. I wore warm enough on my upper body but only a pair of jeans on my lower, by the way. The last 5 minutes, only one block away to the gym, The pain in my thighs went away. I found it comforting for a second. But the next second, I was nearly freaked out like,
"No! I am going to be in a big trouble. My thighs are numb. I will get frostbite !!"
I rushed into the building.
Phew..., that was close... my skin might have come off my thighs... (giggle)
