Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about our English school's slogan in 2014 and how great our students are doing to improve their English skills.
Three months have already passed since 2014 started.
At our English school, we have this year's school slogan "Every day English!"
"Every day English" means "let's learn English every day to improve English skills!"
So, we started original "individual English file" this year to support our students more.
Since we started this file three months ago, almost all of our students are doing self-study every day! (Good job!)
We are really serious about our students' English improvements!
We'll continue new service from now on too!

本日は“English Plus ２０１４年度の英語学校の目標"Everyday English" ～ 現在までの受講生の取組み（日本語編）”です。

２０１４年がスタートしてから４か月目に突入しましたが、新年の抱負は継続中でしょうか？

English Plus英語学校では今年、多くの生徒の方々の英語に関する新年の抱負のお手伝いをと思い、英語学校のスローガン“Everyday English!”（毎日、英語！）を決めました。

スローガンを実行に移すために英語学校では、生徒の方お一人お一人にEnglish Plusオリジナルの“個別英語ファイル”をお渡ししました。

このファイルには、毎日１～２行の英語日記ページ等が入っておりますが、３ヵ月が経過した現在も大多数の受講生の方々がこのファイルで毎日の英語学習を継続中です。

English Plusではレッスンに加え、自己学習も英語力向上のために、とても大切なことだと捉えています。そのため、宿題の提出や個別英語ファイルを活用し、自己学習ができるようにサポートしておりますが、宿題やファイルもご自身で取り組むだけでなく、提出していただき１つ１つチェックをしています。

今後もEnglish Plusならではの英語力アップのための実用的なレッスンの提供や個々のサポートを通して、生徒の方々の英語力アップをもっともっと真剣に応援していくため、新しいサービスを提供したいと考えております。

なお、受講生の方々の基礎英語力アップに真剣なEnglish Plusでは、春のキャンペーン実施中です。

本日は“毎日の英語学習を応援！英語力アップに欠かせない自己学習用のセルフスタディスペースの紹介（日本語編）”です。

English Plusの英語学校には、毎日の英語学習を応援するための“セルフスタディ（自己学習）スペース”があります。

このセルフスタディスペースは、主に英語学校の受講生の方向けの設備になっており、サンプルの英語参考書（文法・語彙・リスニングの参考書等）や音源（ＣＤ)やＣＤプレーヤーもあり、これらを利用しての英語学習が可能です。

英語学校の受講生の方々はレッスンの受講期間、English Plusがオープンしている間、いつでも英語の自己学習ならびに、わからない点を講師に聞くことが可能です。

現在、多くの生徒の方々がレッスンの前後やレッスンのない日等に自己学習のために、このセルフスタディスペースを利用しています。

なお、この場所の利用は英語学校の生徒の方を主に対象としていますが、English Plusカフェをご利用の方もご利用いただけます。

セルフスタディスペースの利用可能な時間は平日１０：００～２０：００、土曜日１０：００～１５：３０となっております。

Good morning and thank you very much for your visit to English Plus blog!!
Today, I'd like to introduce our self-study space at English Plus.
At our English school, we have self-study space.
At this self-study place, there are some sample English textbooks, CDs, and CD players available for those who would like to study English with them.
As long as you are a student at English Plus, you can come and use the space to study English anytime we are open!
For example, you can study before/after lessons or when you don't have a lesson, you can can study English by yourself.
Actually, this place is mainly for our students, but our cafe customers can use here too.
This self-study space is available from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays, and 10:00 to 15:30 on Saturdays.

本日は“生徒の方のための２０１４年度の英語学校の目標 ～ 生徒の皆様と毎日英語化計画！（日本語編）”です。

２０１４年も３日が経過しましたが、皆様は今年の新年の抱負はお決めになりましたでしょうか？

昨年、生徒の方の中には新年の抱負が“もっと英語でコミュニケーションがとれるようになる！”や“英語ぺらぺら！”と英語関連の物がありましたので、English Plusの英語学校でも今年は、もっと真剣に生徒の方々の英語力アップのお手伝いを！と思い、英語学校のスローガンを決めました。

２０１４年のスローガンは…

“Every day English!”

シンプルに“毎日英語！”です。

自分たちの英語学習経験からも言えることですが、“英語力を伸ばすには定期的に英語が触れることが大事”です。

このために今年から、生徒の方お一人お一人にEnglish Plusオリジナルの“英語ファイル”を作成し、お渡ししています。

この個人ファイルには、一人ひとりの英語の目標が確認できるページや、毎日つけられる１～２行の英語日記ページ等が含まれています。

今年は小さい英語学校だからできる、English Plusならではのレッスンや個々のサポートを通して、生徒の方々の英語力アップをもっともっと真剣に応援していきたいと思います！

今後も新しいサポートを考え、生徒の方々の英語力アップに貢献していきたいと思います。

Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Since almost three days have passed in 2014, I'd like to announce our English school's slogan in 2014.
Some of you may have already made this year's new year's resolution.
Last year, some of our students' new year's resolutions were "to be able to communicate in English more naturally and fluently."
We guess some of our students' new year's resolutions might be related to "English", so this year we've decided our slogan to support our students more seriously.
The slogan is...
"Every day English!"
To help our students improve their English skills, we're going to start "English File" to check their improvements continuously and constantly this year.
In the file, there is some space that the students can write English sentences and our staff can check if they study English every day.
This year, we'll be more serious to help & support our students' English improvements!
We'll continue new service from now on too!

小さな英語学校の取り組み ～ 生徒の方々の自己学習（スピーキング力アップトレーニング）サポート

Today, I'd like to write about one of the unique points at our English school.
English Plus' English school is small; however, we can do a lot of things to support our students to improve their English skills!
One of them is we assign an oral English composition book and give all of our students an assignment every week.
The assignment is for improving speaking skill (especially fluency) and they need to make English compositions orally at home.
When they come here, they take a writing test to make sure they master the compositions.
Recently, we've made an advice sheet for students to do the assignment more effectively!
Here are some tips from the advice sheet for our students:
1. Look at only Japanese & try to make English sentences
2. Listen to CD to check if the sentences are okay & Shadow the sentences
3. Check the spelling in the book
4. Listen to CD again and read them out loud
5. Look at only Japanese again & make English sentences
If our students try to do this assignment 10 minutes every day, the assignments will help them improve their speaking skill!



Self-study advice sheet for students at English Plus


おはようございます。English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“小さな英語学校の取り組み ～ 生徒の方々の自己学習（スピーキング力アップトレーニング）サポート”です。

English Plusの英語学校は小さいですが、小さいからこそできる“生徒の方々の英語力アップのサポート”を色々としています。

そのうちの１つが、宿題として指定している口頭英作文の本の中の課題に、毎週１ユニットずつ（１０文程度）取り組んでもらうことです。

課題を通しての目標は“スピーキング力アップ（主に流暢性のアップ）”をしてもらうことで、時間を見つけて家や通勤途中などに取り組んでもらっています。

英語学校でのレッスン時には、課題の確認のための書きのテストを毎回実施しています。

最近では、この課題にもっと効果的に取り組んでもらうためにアドバイスシートを作成しました。

アドバイスシートの中の主な取り組み方は…

１．日本語のみを見て英訳

２．ＣＤを聞いて、英文の確認＋ＣＤに続いて、シャドーイング

３．本を見て英文、スペルの確認

４．ＣＤをもう一度聞いて、音読

５．最後の仕上げに、日本語を英訳

毎日１０分ずつこの課題に取り組むと、スピーキング力が上がってくると思います！

英語学習は楽しみながら取り組みましょう！

小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップの取り組み - E-mailでのライティングトレーニング

Today, I'd like to write about a unique point of our English school.
Our English school is very small but we can do a lot of things to support our students!
In fact, we know every one of our students' names, faces, and also their strength / weakness in their English!
We know their strength and weakness, so this time we started "E-mail writing training" in order to strengthen most of their weak points - writing!
In this "E-mail writing training", we send e-mail with one question every week and students reply to us with at least one sentence!
Currently, a lot of our students are joining this training!
Hopefully, our students are enjoying this training and and improve their writing skill week by week!

本日は“小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップの取り組み - E-mailでのライティングトレーニング”についてです。

English Plusの英語学校はとても小さいのですが、小さいからこそできる個別サポート（レッスン外サポート）を充実させています。

小さい英語学校なので、通ってくださっている生徒の方たちの名前・顔はもちろん、各生徒の方の英語の強み・弱みも把握できるので、様々なサポートをすることが可能です。

最近新しく始めた英語個別サポートは、生徒の方の弱点（ライティング）強化のための“メールでライティングトレーニング”です。

この“メールでライティングトレーニング”では、毎週English PlusからE-mailをお送りし、生徒の方は少なくとも１文書いていただき、返信していただくというものです。

現在、かなり多くの生徒の方がこのトレーニングに参加してくださっています。

楽しみながらこのトレーニングをしていただき、毎週・毎週、少しずつでもライティング力アップをしていただきたいと思っています！

小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップサポート - 個別セルフスタディチェックシート

Today, I'd like to introduce one of our English school's unique points about student support system.
Right now, upon our students' requests, we provide a self-study check sheet at our English school.
The uniqueness of this self-study check sheet is we can customize a self-study plan for each student after listening to their life styles, their purposes to study English and so on; therefore, it's not difficult for them to carry it out since the average self-study time is about 30 minutes every day!
However, there are some rules that the students who received this sheet to follow...
1. They have to continue self-study!
2. To continue self-study, they have to show the sheet to us regularly! (There is a yearly calendar so they can check the day that they study.)
I strongly believe that "To improve English skills, self-study is essential!"
If you are our students and are serious about learning English, please ask us the sheet for yourself!
Also, if you are currently not a student at English Plus, but you want to learn English from this fall with us and want to know how to study English by yourself, please visit us!

現在、英語学校では生徒の方のリクエストに応じて、個別にセルフスタディ（英語自己学習）のためのチェックシートを作成しています。

セルフスタディチェックシートの特徴は、普段の生活の中で一人一人に合わせた無理のないおすすめの英語自己学習の方法（例：スピーキング力アップ）や時間（３０分程度）などをおすすめしている点です。

このセルフスタディチェックシートを受け取った際の生徒の方のルールとしましては…

１．受け取ったら絶対に自己学習を続ける！

２．定期的にこのシートを見せる！（シートには自己学習の年間カレンダーがついており、自己学習をした日にチェックを入れてもらうように工夫しています）

英語力アップのために“自己学習は必須！”ですので、現生徒の方で本気で英語の自己学習に取り組みたい方はいつでも相談にどうぞ！（また、この秋からEnglish Plusで英語を始めたい方で自己学習も一緒に！という方もお気軽にどうぞ！）

At our English school, upon our students' requests, we give advice about how to study English by oneself.
The uniqueness about our advice is that we recommend students try to use the materials that they have now.
It means they don't have to buy new ones. (unless really necessary for self-study)
We not only suggest materials and how to use them but also make a schedule for each student.
The studying schedule is decided after we listen to their life styles, so each studying schedule is different and the schedule is easy to carry out!!
