Good morning and thank you very much for your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce an English training method to improve listening skill.
There was an official TOEIC test this past Sunday, and the next one is about a month away.
We still have some time, so let's prepare for the next TOEIC test every day from today.
There are some training methods we can do but one of the training methods I would like to recommend today is called "Dictation training."
Dictation training is good to help you improve listening skills.
What you need to prepare for this training is...
1. An English book with CD (e.g. dialogue book)
2. A pen and a notebook
How to do the training is quite simple.
1. Listen to a CD once without the script
2. Listen to the same CD 5~10 times to jot down what you hear (*even if you can't hear some words, don’t stop the CD in the middle of the dialogue)
3. Check the script to see if what you've written down is correct (*check the spelling too)
4. Read out loud with the CD
If you continue doing this dictation training, your listening skill and TOEIC listening score may improve!
