Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about a piece of advice for English learners who are taking lessons.
Through my career as an English instructor, I've had some opportunities to teach students from all over the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and so on.
From my experience, I can say that some students improve steadily and these students have some things in common.
One of them is they do self-study.
However, they not only do self-study but also take lessons effectively.
So, today I'd like to share one of the tips to take lessons effectively.
The last tip is...
"Don't be passive (during lessons.)"
For instance, if your instructor or your classmate asks you a question, just don't answer the question.
If they ask you a question, answer the question first and then ask them a question.
Let's finish one-way communication (Question→Answer) and challenge mutual communication (Question→Answer&Question).
Needless to say, if you want to enjoy communication in English, you need to improve your basic English skills.
Through regular English lessons and self-study, let's improve English skills day by day!
