Again, Rome was unbearably hot and sticky.
So what to do on a hot and muggy day in Italy? Gelato!!!
Here is today's little slice of heaven.

For dinner, I could not stop thinking about the lasagna we had yesterday ... so back we went!

Very close to the Piazza Navone.
Below are a couple of their wonderful staff hamming to for my camera.

After dinner, an opportunity to walk around the Piazza Navone during daylight.

Heading back to the Spanish Steps or Piazza di Spagna, we can see the Mausoleo di Augusto (Mausoleum of Augustus).
Augustus was the founder of the Roman Empire and its first Emperor.

A night view of the Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps) where we found what appeared to be a Italian military brass band performing smack in the middle of the steps and delighting visitors.

Next day, off to Florence!
