Huawei Honor 9 Latest leaks suggest: No Headphone Jack

2017-05-09 09:04:45 | Samsung Galaxy S8

With the fantastic Honor 8 Pro only barely just hitting the retail market, and the Honor 8 staking its claim as a firm “mid range champion“, it may come as a surprise (or not) that the internet is already awash with rumour and speculation in reference to Huawei’s next numerically advancing installment of their ever expanding range.

According to a recent leak documented by The Tech Point, photos of the upcoming Honor 9 have surfaced bearing a few notable points of interest.

Apart from the obviously delicious looking black coloured paint job, USB Type C port and speakergrills one glaringly obvious change seems to be afoot. No Headphone Jack.apple screen repair

Providing the photos are a true reflection of what’s to come, at first glace it will appear that Huawei are indeed following in the footsteps of the ever dominant Apple apple parts by removing this much coveted feature. It’s a speculative thought but, could this mean we are going to see waterproofing added? I do hope so.

lso documented within the leak, the Honor 9 will come with a dual rear camera setup, a change in position of the fingerprint sensor is looking likely too. The published renders appear to show the possibility that the fingerprint sensor could now be embedded in the home button, as with the Huawei P10.

We can expect more details to “Leak” in the coming weeks so be sure to keep checking back with us; in the mean time I shall leave you content with the thought of possible chipset performance improvements, improved software and gimmicks as far as the eye can see (maybe).

New Surface Phone Will Come With Microsoft

2017-05-08 09:24:03 | Samsung Galaxy S8

Once more Microsoft is teasing new Surface Phone hardware. Previously CEO Satya Nadella declared that 2017 would see Microsoft launch the ultimate mobile device: “We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today’s market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device."

This week saw Nadella talk to Molly Wood about a range of topics (including Visas, the push into the education market, and data privacy). He also address mobile devices with another bold statement: “…when you say we’ll make more #FormatTableID_0# , I’m sure we’ll make more apple screen repair , but they will not look like phones that are there today.”

That’s an interesting quote, and combined they make it clear that Microsoft has plans for a hardware launch this year in the mobile space.

Changing the way that the market looks at a device is a key feature of the modern Surface line-up. From the easel-like Surface Studio and the exquisite Surface Book, to the Surface Pro and new Surface Laptop machines, Microsoft has taken a basic design pattern and reimagined what can be achieved with a new approach.

The Surface Laptop may be the closest to a traditional design, but it challenges the MacBook and MacBook Air machines directly on price and desirability, What else lies inside the casing will be discovered by reviewers in the very near future. Now take that approach of starting with traditional cues and then pushing the designers out of their comfort zone and work on something new. I suspect that will be the basis of the Surface Phone.

Microsoft already has a ‘not a smartphone’ mobile product that is causing waves. Unlike other augmented reality solution, the Microsoft Hololens is a standalone computer designed to be work and operated hands free. it cam make calls, access the internet, and run third-party applications with ease. It’s not easy but if you are careful you could see a Hololens that is a ‘phone’ that is ‘not a phone’.

That’s just one option, I’m sure there are numerous concepts inside the research labs trialling AR ideas, flexible displays, curious hinges, and more esoteric touches. With very little market share and low expectations of success, Microsoft has the opportunity (and arguably the permission of the market) to explore some new hardware.

It’s an interesting angle. I could see this working, but at the same time I’d happily argue that Microsoft would launch a reference design that puts more focus on software and cloud interfaces than hardware design. The truth is likely to be somewhere between those two extremes.

As to the launch date, the Redmond-based company may have announced an event on May 23rd but I don’t think that a Windows 10-powered apple parts is going to show up before the end of the year. If you are looking for an appropriate time for Microsoft to release a #FormatTableID_1# that shows off the Windows 10 platform on a mobile handset to best effect, that would be the launch of the Redstone 3 - the Windows 10 update due to be launched late Q3/early Q4 in 2017. This will offer many new features that are focused on the mobile experience. With new software comes the opportunity to sell new hardware. Can Nadella have his surprise ready for September? His recent comments suggest that new hardware for 2017 is still on course.

Will you buy the Galaxy Note 7 which changed battery?

2017-05-06 13:52:44 | Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is officially making a comeback.

The South Korean firm has recently passed through Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification and consumers could buy a refurbished unit at the end of June.

It has also been suggested that the handsets are designed with a smaller battery – Samsung concluded it was ‘irregularly sized batteries’ that caused the original Note 7 handsets to explode.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is officially making a comeback. The South Korean firm has recently passed through Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification and consumers could buy a refurbished unit at the end of June

Samsung announced it had plans to sell refurbished units in March and promised it would recover and use or resell reusable components such as chips and camera modules and extract rare metals.

The move was ‘to ensure the Galaxy Note 7 devices are recycled and processed in an environmentally-friendly manner’.

However, the months leading up to the announcement, activists and environmental groups had been urging Samsung to commit to a plan that would recycle millions of Galaxy Note 7 phones - instead of just tossing them into a landfill, which was said to be what Samsung had planned.

And this time around, it seems the firm is doing things differently.

Instead of using the same sized battery, Samsung has swapped the 3,500 mAh for a smaller unit at 3,250 mAh, Android Authority reported.

The modification should ensure that the screen repair will not randomly combust, as the firm had concluded that the fiasco was caused by ‘irregularly sized’ batteries that did not properly fit inside the devices, and manufacturing issues from a second battery supplier.

When Samsung took the stage in New York on August 2, 2016 to unveil the 5.7 inch Galaxy Note 7, the firm also used it as an opportunity to take a stab at Apple's upcoming iPhone 7.

Want to know what else it comes with?' teased Samsung's vice-president of marketing, Justin Denison.

'An audio jack. I'm just saying.'

But little did Denison know that he would end up eating his words.

Days after the Galaxy Note 7 launched, reports surfaced that the devices were bursting into flames.

And a month later, mobile chief D.J. Koh held a press conference in Seoul, South Korea where he announced the recall of 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 devices, stating that users would eventually receive a replacement - a new and safe Note 7.

This caused the battery cell's upper right corner to be crimped by the casing.

And the second, affected the devices sent to replace the original faulty phones.

These were caused by manufacturing issues, including poor welding at the battery manufacturer.

When replacement phones - with batteries from another firm, largely thought to be Chinese manufacturer ATL - also started to combust, the company decided to kill off the Note 7 for good.

In December, the firm issued the same software push to users on the US Cellular network.

The major blunder has somewhat tarnished the Samsung brand and has also sparked many concerns among government and regulatory officials.

But instead of simply tossing the Note 7, the firm is giving it one more chance.

It is believed that Samsung will start selling the refurbished Smartphone parts at the end of June for $620, which is about $250 cheaper than the original price.

However, it is also said that the firm will not release units in the US or Canada, but Android Authority noted that users in these countries ‘might be able to acquire it from re-sellers’.

Women was banned use mobile phone in Indian village

2017-05-05 17:47:51 | Samsung Galaxy S8

A village in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh has banned women from using mobile phones in public in an attempt to restrict their contacts with men and plans hefty fines for violators, police said Wednesday.

Village elders ruled that women found using a lg parts outside their homes would be fined 21,000 rupees (£253) — a sum it would take most rural Indians several months to earn.

The ruling was issued on Tuesday (2) in Madora, a mainly Muslim village in the conservative northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

“We have received reports about the Khap ordering the ban on women using mobile phones,” local police chief Arun Kumar Singh said, referring to the informal village councils known as khap panchayats in India.

“Such orders are against the constitution and we will take action.”

The council believes that lg screen replacement are helping unmarried women to elope and that a ban will limit their interaction with men.

The council also imposed fines on people caught slaughtering cows — illegal in most Indian states — or smuggling liquor.

“We do support their measures against illegal activities but won’t allow them to curb the freedom of women,” Singh said.

Khap panchayats are mostly run by male village elders. Although illegal, they have considerable influence in rural north India.

They are known for issuing diktats aimed at upholding the socially conservative traditions that have long held sway and resisting modernisation — such as banning women from wearing jeans.

But they have also been blamed for ordering serious crimes, including the so-called “honour killing” of couples who marry outside caste or religion.

Critics accuse them of acting like kangaroo courts and handing down public beatings and other punishments for perceived crimes.

Some issues your should know before buying Samsung S8?

2017-05-05 10:33:33 | Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung finally brought the highly-anticipated Galaxy S8 coming back, with stunning immersive screen, Iris scanning and Bixby voice that definitely thrill Samsung fans. While, there are several ongoing issues that can’t be ignored by hundreds of initial users before buying themselves a new Samsung S8.

Fingerprint Scanner

As the Galaxy S8 rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is close to the camera, it’s hard for us to hit the right place. Unfortunately, if you press the camera instead, the lens will be covered with smudges and fingerprints, which makes blurry photo. It takes time to get used to the new position for owners. After a few tries, you may find a way to get the right place. Besides that, Facial Recognition and Iris Scanner would be the better choices.

Red Tint

Some users in Korea complained the color of screen has weird red tint issue, which would be the biggest problem since Galaxy S8 release. It’s said that this is caused by two types of joint pixels, red-green applied on the super AMOLED screens. While, Samsung claims it actually isn’t screen defect or a hardware problem, and an updated software will be released to help users fix the issue.

Wireless Charging

Some Galaxy S8 owners also find themselves unable to charge their smartphones wirelessly, even when using Samsung’s own wireless fast charging pads. The device keeps showing a sign ‘wireless charging paused’ when charging phone via plate, and a while later, the phone informs you of irregular charging.

Restarting

Repeatedly restarting has also been reported many times on Samsung official forum. Some said it just happened when using camera or Samsung Themes, all of a sudden the app freezes, the screen turns off, and a few seconds later restarts itself.

Bixby Voice

This time, Samsung has created its own assistant called Bixby to Galaxy S8 with a dedicated button, which allowing a user to completely control the actions with your voice besides typing. However, voice commands only work in a handful of Samsung's own apps for now, it looks like the voice features need more time to expand into new apps.
