I ran the Katsuta marathon on Sunday(January 30th, 2011).
I woke up at 5:10AM and I went to Katsuta, Hitachinaka city, Ibaraki by train.
At first, I took a train at Shinmachi station to go to Ueno station.
Then I had a breakfast at Ueno station.
I took a special express train at Ueno station to go to Katsuta station.
The train was very crowded! Almost marathon runners.
And the train arrived Katsuta station. There was also crowded.
I arrived Ishikawa ground. There was main a palce.
The opening ceremony was started.
I joined the opening ceremony, I was prepairing start.
And after that, I went to start line.
There was already waiting many runners.
11 AM, it was time to start!
It was cold day. But runners and cheering people on sidewalk
was very hot!...maybe.
I enjoyed run!
And this marathon's prize for participation was dried sweet potatoes.
"Dried" is "Kanso" in Japanese.
"Run the whole distance" is "Kanso" in Japanese.
It's kind of Japanese joke.
