The US presidential election is coming up soon.
This morning I read the interesting article about the Election and The Washington Post on BBC NEWS .
The Washington Post has announced it will not endorse a presidential candidate in the upcoming election, provoking a backlash among some of its employees and subscribers.
CEO William Lewis said the decision was a return "to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates" and that the newspaper was ending the practice going forward.
The move breaks with decades of tradition, with the paper having endorsed a candidate in most presidential elections since the 1970s - all of whom have been Democrats.
According to the article,
the editorial page staffers had drafted an endorsement of Harris.
The decision not to publish the endorsement was made by the paper's owner, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
The Washington Post Guild's leadership - which represents workers at the paper - said it was "deeply concerned" by the decision.
People supporting the editorial page staffers have harshly criticised this decision.
However I guess,
Many major media outlets , including the Washington Post,ABC,PBS, have endorsed Harris.
The Harris campaign has focused on attacking Trump's character and humanity, rather than his policies.
And many media outlets have repeatedly reported the Harris campaign's claims.
They are extremely unfair in their reporting.
These media are indeed guiding public opinion.
Jeff Bezos’s decision is understandable.
