A courtside incident happened early.
Some fans displayed a Russian flag during a match between Ukraine's player and Russian player on Monday.
Spectators were permitted to bring the flags on the condition they did not cause "disruption".
The organisers reversed that decision immediately.
Russian and Belarusian flags have been banned from the Australian Open tennis tournament.
Tennis Australia said in a statement.
"We will continue to work with the players and our fans to ensure the best possible environment to enjoy the tennis,"
The Victorian state government said That’s the right decision.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is abhorrent.
It breaches international human rights obligations.
Whether in sport, or more broadly in our community,human rights are important.
I agree with them.
