本日、今年初めての梵鐘鋳造火入れをいたしました。
高知県のお寺様にお納めする口径2尺6寸（７８ｃｍ）、重量150貫基準（約５６０ｋｇ）の梵鐘と愛媛県のお祭りに使われる鐘です。
よく梵鐘の材質は鉄と思われることが多いのですが、銅（約８５％）と錫（約１５％）の2種類の合金でできています。鐘の形状、厚み、銅と錫の割合など様々な条件により鐘の音が決まります。
鐘の音は、お釈迦様の説法のお声とされていて、程よい唸りと長い余韻のバランスが取れた音が良い響きと言われています。
Today we have cast the first bells in this new year .
We are delivering the bell(the diameter 78cm,about 560 kilogram) for the temple in Koichi prefecture.
We have also cast the two bell used for a shrine festival in Ehime prefecture.
It is believed that the material of the temple is iron,but actually it's made of an alloy of 2 kinds, copper (about 85 %) and tin (about 15 %). The tone of the bell is decided by the condition that the shape of the bell, the thickness and the percentage of the copper and the tin and so on.
The sound of the bell is said to be the voice of Buddha preaching a sermon, It is said the good sound is the well-balanced tone of the moderate roar and the long reverberation.
