It is around 7 p.m. I've already had dinner tonight. Today was perhaps the most leisurely day of my life. I didn't need to study for TOEIC. I didn't have to make a splendid dinner. I didn't have to go grocery shopping. All I needed to do today was to make simple meals.
Do you know why? Because the refrigerator hasn't been working well since last weekend. There is lots of frozen food in the freezer. It has been melting, so all I need to do to prepare meals is to heat them up. Lucky me! I can be a lazy housewife for a while.
It is a matter of course that I told my husband we needed to buy a new refrigerator immediately. We went to an electrical appliance store a few days ago and my husband ordered a new refrigerator there. But the store didn't have any stocks of refrigerators, so it would take 10 days to receive one. The refrigerator was a new product and my husband liked it. Therefore we decided to wait for 10 days.
At that time, the freezer compartment didn't work well but the cold room seemed to be OK. But the next day the cold room completely broke down and the freezer has worked like a cold room since then.
