English Plus（英語学校）では現在“English Plus Friends（お友達紹介）キャンペーン”を行っています。

現在レッスンを受講生されている受講生の方々が、ご友人・知人・同僚・ご家族様方をEnglish Plus（英語学校）に紹介して、レッスン受講をお申込いただきますと“紹介していただいた受講生の方・新しくレッスンを受講される方”両方に様々な特典をご用意しております。

本日は“English Plus（英語学校）2016年4月のアクティビティ ～ Movie Nightの紹介（日本語編）”です。

English Plus（英語学校）では、レッスン受講生のためのアクティビティ（イベント）を毎月行っています。

今日は今月のアクティビティ“Movie Night”を紹介したいと思います。

このMovie Nightでは「英語で映画を楽しもう！」をキーワードに、English Plus Cafeにてポップコーン＆ドリンク片手に、さながら本物の映画館のようにして参加者皆で映画を楽しむアクティビティです。

人気のあるアクティビティで今までにも何回か開催してきましたが、上映後には、映画の感想を英語で言ったりすることもあります。

English Plus Cafeでの開催になりますので、English Plusレッスン受講生の方々は時間がございましたら、ご参加ください。

４月３０日（土曜日）に開催予定ですが、詳細はスタッフまでお尋ねください。

なお、参加にはサインアップが必要ですので、サインアップはカウンターまでお越しください。

レッスン受講生の参加をお待ちしております。

English Plus（英語学校）2016年4月のアクティビティ ～ Movie Nightの紹介（英語編）

Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce one of English Plus' school activities.
At English Plus, we hold a school activity every month.
In April, we're going to hold an activity called "Movie Night."
The purpose of this "Movie Night" is for our students to enjoy movies in English!
We hold this "Movie Night" activity at English Plus Cafe, so the participants can relax to enjoy popcorn, drink and movie, which is like a mini movie theater.
This activity has been quite popular so we've held some times, and after each movie, we usually exchange our opinions about the movie in English.
You can relax and enjoy movies at English Plus Cafe, so if you are interested, please join the activity this month.
We're planning to it on Saturday, April 30th. (For more detailed information, please ask us directly.)
If you are a student at English Plus and interested in this event, you are always welcome to join us.
Let's enjoy English at English Plus!

本日は“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2016年3月後半のレッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り“自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得”を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力習得のための大事なものの１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、３月後半のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。

1. Another 2 members were my friend and my brother. →

2. If you have many time this weekend, why don't you come with us? →

3. I was sick last weekend because I stayed at home. →

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文ができるように基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう！

Today, let's practice English.
At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English especially during lessons.
Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons at the end of March below.

本日は“英語レッスン受講中の方への英語力アップ５つのアドバイス ～ その２（日本語編）”です。

今日は「英語レッスン受講中の方への英語力アップ５つのアドバイス」の内、その２として英語力アップのためのアドバイスを書いていきたいと思います。

アドバイスその１では「一度、忘れたことはその後、何回も何回もマスターするまで繰り返し復習する」ことを書きました。

実際、復習とは「一度学習したことを定着させるための見直し学習」ですので、復習をすることはとても大切です。

ただ、「どう復習すればいいのかわからない…」という方もいらっしゃるかと思いますので、ここで英語講師として伝えたいアドバイスは「繰り返しトレーニングができる教材を持ち歩く」ことです。

簡単にできる英語力アップのための復習としましては「時間を見つけて毎日、繰り返し５分でも１０分でも持ち歩いている教材をチェックすること」です。

毎日実行することで着実に「基礎英語力」になっていきます。

忙しい日もあると思いますが、がんばりましょう！

Good morning and I thank you for your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about a piece of advice for English learners who are currently taking lessons.
As I wrote the first advice in this blog, "forgetting what we've learned is a natural thing and this happens to anybody, but the most important thing is to review what we've forgotten again and again until we master it."
Actually, reviewing after each lesson is very important to fully understand what you've learned.
However, I understand that some people might say they don't know how to review.
So, I'd like to suggest "carrying a material, which you can review, with you anywhere you go."
One easy way to review is to check the material that you carry and do it every day.
If you do this review training every day, it'll help you improve your basic English skills.
I know you must be busy every day, but let's try English training every day!

本日は“English Plusレッスン受講生からの質問 ～ 2016年5月スタートの新形式TOEICテストの変更点は？（日本語編）”です。

English Plusのレッスン受講生から様々な英語や英語学習に関する質問を受けることがありますが、TOEICテストに関する質問もあります。

最近のTOEICテストに関する質問の１つに「2016年5月からの新形式のTOEICテストは何が変わるのでしょうか？」という質問がありました。

TOEICテストを受験された方はご存じかとは思いますが、TOEICテストはリスニング・リーディングの２つのセクションから構成されているテストで、リスニングは４５分、リーディングは７５分の計２時間のテストになっています。

各セクションは１００問、計２００問のテストです。

各セクション１００問ずつで総問題数に変更はないのですが、セクションの中の問題数に変更があります。

＜リスニングセクションの変更点＞
Part 1：（現行）１０問 ⇒（５月以降）６問
Part 2：（現行）３０問 ⇒（５月以降）２５問
Part 3：（現行）３０問 ⇒（５月以降）３９問
Part 4：（現行）３０問 ⇒（５月以降）３０問

＜リーディングセクションの変更点＞
Part 5：（現行）４０問 ⇒（５月以降）３０問
Part 6：（現行）１２問（３問×４題） ⇒（５月以降）１６問（４問×４題）
Part 7：（現行）４８問 ⇒（５月以降）５４問

問題数以外の変更点としましてはリスニングセクションの中では…

・Elisions（例：gonna等）や Fragments（例：Yes, in a minute等）を含む会話が流れます。

・Part 3では3名の会話の設問があります。

・Part 3&4では図などの情報を関連づけて解答する設問が加わります。

リーディングセクションの中では…

・Part 7では3つの関連する文書を読んで理解する設問が加わります。

上記の大まかな変更点の他にも色々と変更点がありますが、一番大切なことは「日頃からの準備」つまり「毎日の英語学習」です。

コツコツと継続的に自身の英語力をアップをして、TOEICのスコアを上げていきましょう。

Today, I'd like to answer one of the questions our students frequently ask us.
Our students ask us some questions about English, and one of the questions we were asked recently was "What is the difference between the current TOEIC test and the new one from May?"
As you probably know, the TOEIC test consists of both Listening and Reading sections - 45 minutes for Listening section and 75 minutes for Reading section.
Each section is composed of 100 questions, so it means the total number of the questions is 200.
The total number of the questions is the same as before; however, the number of questions in each part is going to be changed.
For instance, in the Listening Section:
Part 1: 10 Questions → 6 Questions
Part 2: 30 Questions → 25 Questions
Part 3: 30 Questions → 39 Questions
Part 4: 30 Questions → 30 Questions
In the Reading Section:
Part 5: 40 Questions → 30 Questions
Part 6: 12 Questions → 16 Questions
Part 7: 48 Questions → 54 Questions
In the Listening section, elisions (e.g. gonna) and fragments (e.g. Yes, in a minute.) are going to be used.
Also, in Part 3&4 will include some visual images and 3 people talking.
In the Reading section (Part 7) will include multiple passages.
Actually, there are some more changes, and if you are interested, please ask us directly.
There are a lot of things you can do to prepare for the new TOEIC test, but one of the most important things is to study English every day to improve "English skills."
Let's study English every day and get better results on the TOEIC test in the near future!
