『さらば宇宙戦艦ヤマト』と『銀河鉄道999』をTSUTAYAで借りて観ました。『さらば宇宙戦艦ヤマト』の方は子供の頃映画館まで行って観ました。
ものすごい力作で、大人の本気というものをビシビシ感じました。「男というものは」とか、「人間はなんのために生きるのか」という重いテーマを扱っていて、作り手が言いたい事を明確に伝えている、本気のアニメといった作品でした。もちろん感動しました。
そして神戸アートビレッジで、『ラサへの歩き方』も観ました。特にものすごい展開がある映画ではありません。ただチベットの小さな村の住人が五体投地で2400キロ歩いていくという映画です。しかし登場人物たちの宗教や生きることに対する真摯な向き合い方に殴られたようなインパクトがありました。ズルをせず、ひたすら五体投地する。その過程が問題なのであって、結果は問題ではない。厳然なその自分自身や信仰への向き合うことは自分を含め、少なくとも高度な文明を持つ国ではなかなかできないことだと思います。結果を出す事や、金銭に関わる事が生きる関心事になってしまっている私たちには、とても足りないあり方だと思います。
コミスタ神戸で今月5日まで、新井栄司さんの東北の震災を撮った写真展がありました。心の中にだんだん染みてくる作品が展示されていました。わかりやすい地震や津波の被害を受けた情景のみを撮った写真ではなく、そこにあったのは人の気持ちが含まれた写真の数々でした。人の肉声も綴じられたような画面は、じんわりと心に入っていきました。人の気持ちや思いは言語化できないものが多くあります。「悲しい」とか「つらい」とかは自分の思いのとりあえずの看板みたいなもので、その実体は言い表せません。新井さんの写真は言葉では言い切れない人の気持ちのある部分を表せていたように思います。コミスタでの展示は終わりましたが、写真展がお近くであればぜひ観にいってください。
結果を出す情熱だけが素晴らしいのではなく、結果に至る過程に対して情熱を傾ける事はとても大事です。
