Maxima

CLISP もインストールできましたので、それを利用してみたいと思います。

そこで、数式処理システムである
Maxima
をインストールします。

始めに sourceforge から、maxima-5.12.0.tar.gz をダウンロードします。

早速インストールしてみます。Lisp として CLISP の選択は自動的に行われます。
$ tar xzf maxima-5.12.0.tar.gz
$ cd maxima-5.12.0
$ ./configure
$ make
$ make check

簡単にインストールできました。ためしに使ってみます。終了は ctrl-D で大丈夫です。
$ maxima

現在は、Windows 版とかあり、グラフィックで表示できますが、ここはテキストベースだけで使っている coLinux ですから、上のようになります。coLinux でmaxima を実行するとよそのもっと速くメモリも豊富なマシンが使えるので何か役立つと思います。
