ホテルグリーンプラザ上越/Hotel Green Plaza Joetsu

 

 

ホテルグリーンプラザは、1981年に開業したホテルです。スイスのシャーレ―スタイルの建物は、三角の赤い屋根が印象的です。
さらに、内装に使われている木材も重厚感があって、階段などもモダンな作りで素敵です。
 Hotel Green Plaza opened in 1981. The Swiss-style building has an impressive triangular red roof.
Also the wood used for the interior has a massive and profound feeling, and the stairs are modern and lovely.

ただ、客室が634室あるということで、コロナ禍では使われていない棟もありますが、館内の移動は時間がかかります。温泉も良いのですが、かなり遠いいので、お年寄りにはきびしいかもです。
Though it has 634 guest rooms, some parts of the buildings are not used due to the Covid pandemic.
It takes time to move around the building. The hot spring is good, but it's quite far, so it might be tough for the elderly.

実を言えば、この日は大雪。
雪不足で滑れないコースがあることは経験していましたが、雪が多すぎて、新雪を滑るのを楽しみにしていた当間ゲレンデに行くリフトは停止。さらに、最高のコブを堪能できる大別当のチャンピオンコース（斜度・最大38度／平均20度、最長滑走距離700m）も閉鎖でした

To tell the truth, it snowed so heavily on this day that the lift to go to the Toma Slope, where I was looking forward to skiing in fresh snow, had stopped. Furthermore, Daibetto's champion course (Slope: maximum of 38 degrees & average of 20 degrees, distance of 700 m), where has good bumps, was closed

晴れた時間もあったのですが…

 

翌日は再び大雪となりました
