VINTAGE好きさんなら御存知かと思います米国のスウェットやT−SHのブランドなんです。
その歴史は何と1876年に遡るのです。
メジャーリーガーでしたアルバートスポルディング氏が当初野球の公式球の製造から始めまして後にスウェットの
製品化を始めたブランドなんです。
其の当時はアメリカンフットボールの公式球からフットボールのウェアーまで手掛けておりアメリカのスポーツウェアー
を語るには避けては通れない存在だったのです。
当時はスポーツウェアーもウール製品から始まりまして、スポルデイング氏が初めてコットンブレンドの製品化に
成功しまして其の後コットン製品に変遷していったそうです。
今回は、1930年代のA.G.SPALDINGS&BROSのスウェットシャツを復刻しました逸品の御紹介になります。

It is a brand that has started commercialization.

At that time, sportswear began with wool products, and Mr. Spalding was the first to commercialize cotton blends.
It seems that it was successful and changed to cotton products after that.
This time, we will introduce a masterpiece that is a reprint of the 1930s A.G.SPALDINGS & BROS sweatshirt.
米国も其の当時は非効率の吊り編み機でゆっくりと生地を織り上げましてスウェットシャツを作っておりましたので
本日ご紹介のスウェットシャツも勿論、吊り編み機で生地から企画されました逸品になります。
吊り編み機は、1816年にフランスで初声をあげまして世界中に広がりましたが、1時間に1メートルしか織れなくて
新しい編み機に取って代わられまして現代では日本の和歌山に残っているだけだそうです。
其の編み機を駆使しまして作られましたスウェットシャツは、柔らかくて着心地は最高な逸品となります。
おまけに型崩れもなくて耐久性にも優れているので長年の相棒関係を築くのにはピッタリな一枚かと！
