Today, I'd like to write about “my personal recommendation as an English teacher about how to prepare for English lessons at elementary school starting this April.”
Currently, at a cafe, I'm teaching English to students ranging from elementary school students to adults.
As I teach English to both adults and school kids, I've realized the different interesting points between them.
For example, when I teach English to adults, it's always fun because we can share a lot of personal experiences through variety of topics.
When I teach elementary school students, it's also interesting because they absorb what I teach very quickly and use it to enjoy communication!
Speaking of teaching elementary school students, from this April at public elementary schools in Japan, English class is going to start.
From an English teacher's experience and point of view, elementary school students should learn basic English vocabulary!!
The best way I can recommend for elementary school students to learn English vocabulary is with this book “Picture Dictionary.”
It's interesting even for adults to browse English picture dictionary, so elementary school children can enjoy learning English vocabulary with it!
If parents have time, they should learn English vocabulary together because it helps communicate with each other while learning English!

本日は“４月からの小学校英語導入に際して英語講師おすすめの英語準備法”です。
現在カフェで個人的に英語のレッスンをしており、とてもありがたいことに、小学生～大人の方々を教える機会に恵まれています。
子供（小学生）と大人を教えていて思うことは“両方ともそれぞれに教えていて面白い点がある”ということです。
１点ずつ面白い点を挙げますと、大人の方に教えている時は経験が豊富な分、いろいろなトピックを通してコミュニケーションが楽しめる、という点。
子供を教えている時は、教えたことをスポンジのようにすぐ吸収するので学んだものがすぐ使え、コミュニケーションが楽しめる、という点です。
ご存知かと思いますが、今年の４月から公立の小学校５・６年生を対象に英語授業が一斉に始まります。
“今まで小学生を教えてきた経験”ならびに“英語講師としての視点”から言えるのは、小学校のうちに“できる限り英語の基礎となる英単語を学んでおく”ということです。
小学生が英単語を覚えるおすすめの方法は“Picture Dictionary”（絵付きの辞書）を使用することです。
Picture Dictionaryを大人が見ているだけでも面白いと思いますので、お父さん・お母さんと一緒に英単語を覚えていくのもとても効果的だと思います！
将来、英語をもっと楽しめるように今から準備していきましょう！！
